Lyrrus, Inc. and Fender team up to introduce multimedia software to the
guitarist

Philadelphia -- December 14, 1994 -- Lyrrus, Inc., a leading
Philadelphia-based music software developer, and Fender, a world leader in
guitar manufacturing, recently introduced a multimedia education software
package designed for the next generation of guitar players.

The new G-VOX Blender software package consists of a sample assortment of
music software that features famous guitar riffs (musical phrases),
including the actual music of award-winning artists like Steve Morse. The
G-VOX Blender software allows the user to listen to a digital recording,
and then displays an animated fingerboard on the computer screen. The user
can see and hear how the music is played and is able to control the speed
with which it is played back -- fast, slow or note-by-note. The user can
play back the music over and over while learning to play it.

The software additionally includes an in-depth music theory program which
can help improve sight-reading ability.

G-VOX Blender is available now through Fender retailers for a suggested
retail price of $49. From now through March 1995, many Fender retailers
will be offering G-VOX Blender software as part of a special package to
customers who purchase one of the company's electric guitars.

"For years, developments in music technology existed only for the
professional musician," said Nathaniel Weiss, president of Lyrrus. "High
prices and sophisticated products created barriers for aspiring players.
Now, with the rapid growth of personal computers and the ability to
combine video, audio and vivid graphics, a whole new world of opportunity
is opening up to consumers.

"But our products aren't just about technology," he continued. "They're
about the individual and the experience of music. It's now possible to
combine a Fender guitar -- a real musical instrument -- with an
entertaining and fully interactive software package designed for the
musician."

Bill Schultz, president of Fender Musical Instruments, said the company is
dedicated to encouraging young people to learn to play and that computers
are already playing a major role in music education. For example, G-VOX
Blender is used on computers in music education classes at the
world-renowned Berklee School of Music and at Duquesne University in
Pittsburg.

"Fender has a rich history of innovation," said Schultz. "It's only natural
for us to venture into the world of digital technology. Young people are
already immersed into the world of computers and video games. Why not
teach them to use those skills, learn more about music and have fun -- all
at the same time?"

About Lyrrus, Inc.

Lyrrus, Inc., is a high-technology music company located in Philadelphia.
Formed in 1990, the company manufactures, markets and sells interactive
hardware and software for connecting musical instruments to computers.

Lyrrus' first product, G-VOX, was introduced in 1993 and is designed to

guitarists like Steve Morse and Adrian Legg.

In 1994 Lyrrus diversified its product line to include powerful composing

print out sheet music of the composition.
