Apple Reduces Price of Remote Access MultiPort Server

CUPERTINO, California--December 5, 1994--Apple Computer, Inc. today
announced U.S. price reductions of up to 30 percent on its Apple Remote
Access MultiPort Server software products. These reductions are part of
the company's ongoing strategy to offer superior solutions at competitive
prices.

The Apple Remote Access MultiPort Server has been reduced from an Apple
price of $1,799 to $1,259, while the Apple Remote Access 4-Port Expansion
Kit has been reduced from $1,499 to $1,159. The price reductions are
effective immediately.

The Apple Remote Access MultiPort Server is designed to provide customers
with a low cost, high performance software solution. It provides a
flexible and secure way to offer remote network access to workgroups or
entire organizations. It includes a four-port remote access serial card
and cable, and runs on any Macintosh computer or Workgroup Server from
Apple with one or more NuBus slots. More ports can be easily added to
Macintosh-based systems utilizing Motorola's 68000 processor by installing
additional serial cards and cables included with the Apple Remote Access
4-Port Expansion Kit, allowing a single 68000 processor-based Macintosh
computer to support up to 16 simultaneous dial-up connections.

The Apple Remote Access MultiPort Server offers a host of sophisticated
security features, making it one of the most secure remote access servers
available. It is also designed to streamline administrative tasks, while
maximizing administrator productivity and control. It installs in minutes
and offers sophisticated management capabilities, including support for
the industry-standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
