SYSTRAN Unveils Seven New Additions to Its I/O Product Line

Dayton, Ohio, November 21, 1994 - SYSTRAN Corp., developer of the SCRAMNet
Network (a real-time replicated shared-memory system), today announced
seven new additions to "SYSTRAN's I/O Solutions" product line. These new
I/O devices complement the spectrum of general-purpose and
special-application l/O interfaces currently available from SYSTRAN. Based
on the IndustryPack (IPack) Logic Interface Specification Revision 0.7.1,
these high-density mezzanine boards enable designers to specify and
implement solutions with a greater level of flexibility than traditional
host-based I/O boards. Following are highlights of the new l/O devices:

* ADC128F1

The ADC128F1 is a 12-bit, +/- 10V simul-sampling analog-to-digital
converter IPack with eight independent channels. Features include: 116K
samples/sec per channel conversion; current value table updating with
no-wait read-on-the-fly accesses; and hardware/software handshake
interfaces for coupling multiple boards together.

* DAC128F5

The DAC128F5 is a 12-bit, +/-5V digital-to-analog converter IPack with
eight independent channels. It offers: no-wait write and read-back
accesses; 7 uSec settling time; overall gain error of +4 to -7 LSB; very
low noise; and short-protected outputs.

* DAC128V

The DAC128V is a 12-bit, digital-to-analog converter IPack with eight
independent channels. The output can be scaled (in two groups of 4
channels) to one of eight voltage ranges between +/- 10V. The DAC128V
features: no-wait write and read-back accesses; 6 uSec settling time;
jumper-selectable output voltage ranges and analog power sources; and
buffered reference outputs.

* OPTDO32

The OPTDO32 is a digital output IPack board featuring 32 channels of
output, opto-isolated to 3000 VDC. The logic-level open collector outputs
are capable of sinking up to 13mA.

* DID48

The DID48 is a discrete input IPack board offering 48 channels of high
voltage-protected, and hardware-debounced inputs with interrupt
generators.

* DUAL32CT and DUAL16CT

The DUAL32CT is a dual, 32-bit counter/timer IPack board, and the DUAL16CT
is a dual, 16-bit counter/timer IPack board. Each counter/timer is
completely independent with its own register set and interrupt vector.
Features include: terminal count detect via registers; rollover or stop,
interrupt, and trigger output on terminal count; on-the-fly reading of
count value; timer/clock enable and clock reset control.

SYSTRAN's I/O Solutions carry a one year warranty, and are currently
available with prices starting at $225. SYSTRAN also offers comprehensive
I/O design services to customize SYSTRAN's products for specific I/O
requirements.
