SONIC ANNOUNCES HARDWARE DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH APPLE.

Sunnyvale, CA, October 13, 1994 -- Sonic Systems, Inc., in conjunction with
Apple Computer, Inc., today announced an agreement in which Apple Computer
will make available to it's customers Sonic Systems' microPrint LocalTalk
to EtherTalk hardware bridge. The Apple partnumber for the microPrint is
T1556LL/A, and the Apple Price is $259.

This agreement comes on the heels of an earlier agreement in which Sonic
Systems announced it would license LocalTalk to EtherTalk bridging
software, co-developed with Apple, for inclusion with the LaserWriter
Select 360. This software, known as the LaserWriter Bridge, offers
LocalTalk to EtherTalk bridging through a host Macintosh.

The microPrint is a high performance dedicated hardware solution which
allows users to connect the LaserWriter Select 360 printer to EtherTalk.
With the vast majority of new Macintosh computers coming equipped with
Ethernet, EtherTalk connectivity is becoming a critical feature for
workgroup printers. The microPrint provides this feature for Apple and the
LaserWriter Select 360.

Ken Feehan, Product Marketing Manager for Imaging Products for Apple
Computer, Inc. said, "During our co-development of the LaserWriter Bridge
software with Sonic Systems, we found that they have excellent LocalTalk
to EtherTalk bridge technology. We knew that some users may prefer a
hardware-only solution to the LocalTalk to EtherTalk connectivity question
and Sonic has a well suited product."

"We are delighted that Apple chose microPrint as their LocalTalk to
EtherTalk bridge," said Sudhakar Ravi, Vice President of Engineering for
Sonic Systems. Mr. Ravi continued, "With Apple's review process, this
agreement shows that we offer a product which is superior in performance
as well as price."
