Computer Register Expands into Six New Regions Remains United State's Only
Directory of Computer Consultants & Related Services

CHICAGO -- (October 19, 1994) -- The Computer Register, a national computer
consultant and related service directory, announced at PC EXPO-Chicago the
introduction of six new regional editions throughout the United States.
increasing its annual circulation to 270 000. Computer Register currently
publishes a Midwestern edition with an annual circulation of 45,000.

"Expanding into new markets will allow us to serve the computer user much
more efficiently." said Jake Price. publisher of the Computer Register.
"Consultants and other related service companies now have the resource
available to reach their target market either on a national or regional
level."

The purpose of the Computer Register is to serve as a reference publication
for businesses and consumers to locate consultants and computer service
companies that meet their needs in their area. Computer Register also
serves as a call-in referral service, locating companies and consultants
that fit the callers needs. This is a free service sponsored by the
members and advertisers in the directory.

The distribution of the magazine will remain a grass roots effort. Sales
force personnel will distribute copies of the publication at key computer
and business-to-business trade shows in each of the six regions.
Approximately 7.500 copies will be distributed at each of the shows.

The markets are broken down into six regions: Northwest, Southwest, North
Central. South Central. Northeast and Southeast. Within each of the six
regions there will be up to six additional sub-regional editions,
narrowing the scope of the regions to further pinpoint the target
audience

Computer Register began in January 1993 as a regional "newsletter" /
resource magazine to bring users. buyers and sellers of computer related
services and components together. By the end of 1993, Computer Register
had expanded its directory into Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin
The demand tor a national resource directory has dictated the expansion of
the Computer Register into these new markets.
