NEC OFFERS REBATE ON MULTISYNC 2V MONITOR JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Wood Dale, Ill., Nov. 1, 1994 -- NEC Technologies, Inc. (NEC) is offering a
$25 rebate (CAN $30) on its MultiSync 2V color monitors, effective Nov. 1
through Dec. 3 l, 1994. Current estimated selling price for the MultiSync
2V is $355.

"This rebate offer comes at a very special time of year," said Chiaka
Patterson, product manager for the MultiSync 2V monitor. "The purchase of
a MultiSync 2V an ideal way to upgrade an existing Macintosh or PC system
-- and the rebate provides an additional price break just in time for the
holidays." The rebate will be provided to consumers through a mail-in
program or at the point of purchase at participating resellers.

NEC's MultiSync 2V monitor, targeted to the mainstream consumer and SOHO
(Small Office/Home Office) marketplace, displays bright, sharp, accurate
screen images. A fine .28 mm dot pitch provides clean, crisp text and
graphics. FullScan capability allows edge-to-edge images and an antiglare
silica gel screen coating minimizes reflections without blurring.

The MultiSync 2V color monitor is also the most affordable monitor in the
MultiSync line, yet delivers the quality and reliability expected from
NEC. The MultiSync 2V is compatible with both PC and Mac computers, has a
maximum non-interlaced resolution of 1024x768 up to 70 Hz with an industry
leading 3-year limited warranty. It meets MPRII and VESA standards.

In addition, the MultiSync 2V is EnergyStar-compliant, allowing end-users
to realize lower overall cost of ownership through reduced energy costs.
At the same time, the MultiSync 2V's EnergyStar-compliance also benefits
the environment: fewer natural resources are consumed when the monitor
powers down when idle into "sleep" mode.
