PsycINFO Now Available from SilverPlatter

PsycINFO, the world-renowned database from the American Psychological
Association, is now available from SilverPlatter for hard disk storage.

November 18, 1994 -- PsycINFO covers the world's literature in psychology
and related disciplines with over one million records dating back to 1967.
It provides access to related topics such as psychiatry, sociology,
anthropology, education, linguistics, and pharmacology. PsycINFO cites
literature from over 45 countries in 30 different languages. It contains
book and book chapter records, dissertations, journal articles, and
technical reports. Articles are drawn from psychology journals and from a
broad range of social science and behavioral journals.

Entries for this database are individually selected for their relevance to
psychology. All records are indexed using the controlled vocabulary in the
Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms. This rigorous quality and
consistency of the indexing and data entry make PsycINFO the most powerful
database in its field.

Two subscription options are available: 1984 to the present and 1967 to the
present. Updated monthly by SilverPlatter, subscribers load the database
onto hard disk. The database is searched using SPIRS, the familiar search
software from SilverPlatter.
