MORE NEW STATE MODULES ADDED TO PRENTICE HALL'S BUSINESS TAX SOFTWARE

ATLANTA, November 14 -- On the heels of an announcement this past summer
that the company would add 12 new state modules, Prentice Hall today
announced that eight more state modules will be added to the 1994 version
of The Prentice Hall Tax System for business returns (1120 Advantage,
1120S Advantage, and 1065 Advantage.) This brings the total state software
offering to 55.

The latest state modules being added to 1120S Advantage (for filing
S-Corporation returns) are: Maryland, Ohio and South Carolina These are in
addition to the S Corporation state modules announced in the July release
(AL, GA, IL, MA, VA, as well as a complete rewrite to accommodate the new
NJ S-Corporation requirements). 1065 Advantage will also offer partnership
returns for Maryland and South Carolina (in addition to the returns for AL
GA, IL, MA, NC, NY and PA). Further, new modules will be available for the
Texas franchise report for corporations and S-corporations.

"New efficiencies in our development processes and an outstanding effort by
our development team have allowed us to exceed our original goal for new
state software modules for the 1994 filing season," said Tax Products
Marketing Manager, Eileen M. Lichtenfeld, CPA. Also announced for the
release will be additional worksheets to support the federal tax forms and
a completely new look for the product's journal entry system. The journal
entry system's new interface complements the style of The Prentice Hall
Tax System's screens for more consistent and intuitive use. Its ability to
provide book-to-tax workpapers, including book and tax adjustments,
already makes the system unique in the marketplace. (Other enhancements
included in this release were detailed in an earlier release dated July
28.)
