MR Mac Software is proud to announce the release of Network Reporter 1.0.
This exciting new type of network management utility provides network and
system administrators with critical "big picture" information that is
essential for management of all medium to large AppleTalk networks. Change
management, network growth over time, security profiles, reference
dictionary and inventory statistics are just a few of the areas in which
Network Reporter can assist in the management of an AppleTalk network.

Using periodic network scans, Network Reporter constructs a database of all
devices found on an AppleTalk network. This information is then used to
compile reports on the network covering a wide range of topics. These
reports can be automatically compiled on a periodic basis completely
unattended. Once compiled, reports can be viewed online or even e-mailed
to administrators, freeing administrators from the repetitive hassle of
profiling their AppleTalk network. Since reports can be received via
e-mail, a one time configuration process is all that is needed for network
managers to regularly receive timely reports on their network.

Over 20 types of reports formats are included with Network Reporter
covering everything from inventory management (a summary and zone by zone
breakdown of the number and types of Macs on a network) to risk management
(a report identifying devices as possible security risks). The "Weekly
Changes" reports is perhaps one of the most useful. It lists all changes
which have occurred on a network so administrators can identify
workstations, network utilities, or printers which are being installed or
removed from their network. This information is critical information to
insure a stable and secure network environment.

Network Reporter 1.0 is available immediately for $429. Educational sites
receive a 10% discount. Company Purchase Orders are accepted.
