FDF (Find Duplicate Files) is a DOS and OS/2 utility which finds and lists
duplicate (or unique) files.

USES: To assist in disk house-cleaning. To assist in Quality Assurance
regression testing. (This is the primary use of FDF at Bayshire Software.)
To assist in software security (as an aid to searching for unauthorized
copies of files and for detecting changes in files).

DETAILS: FDF can find duplicates based on file content. Under this option,
files that are the same but have different names will be detected as
duplicates. FDF sees hidden files. FDF can find duplicates based on
directory listing information: it can find files with the same name, same
size, same date, same time, or any combination of these. FDF can find
unique files rather than duplicate files. FDF can be used to compare the
contents of diskettes of different size. FDF can be used to find whether
duplicates of any of a set of files exist, as for example, whether any of
the files on drive A: are found on drive C:. FDF can limit its search to
file names with a specific mask, such as *.cpp and the like. More than one
mask may be used in the same run. FDF works with hard disks, network
drives, floppy disks, CD ROM's and any combination of these. FDF can limit
its operation to one directory or several directories, and has the option
of including subdirectories of any specified directory.
