NEW VERSION OF SOFTWARE FOR SEWERS ANNOUNCED

JANESVILLE, CA -- November 22, 1994. Nearly one year after originally
expected, a new version of the bestselling software for sewers, Dress Shop
2.0, has been released for distribution.

The new version combines many additional patterns (various dresses, pants,
blouses, skirts, blazers, vests, etc.), and numerous design options
(necklines, collars, sleeves, cuffs, pleats, etc.).

Other improvements from the original Dress Shop program include support of
more than 1,200 printers of all types (dot matrix and laser, with either
continuous feed or single sheet) -- the first program only supported a few
generic printers with continuous feed paper. This addition was necessary
because of the increasing invasion of laser printers into home systems.

To create custom-fitted garment patterns for virtually every figure type,
users take from 60 to 102 measurements, depending on whether they have
symmetrical or assymetrical figures (say, if they have one shoulder higher
than the other). The measurements are then entered into the Dress Shop 2.0
program. Users pick the style and variations of the garment they want the
software to draft, then sit back and let the computer do the work. In
minutes, they can have a professional-quality, custom-fitted pattern
printed out. All that's left to do is to tape the pattern pieces together,
cut them out of fabric, and sew them up for a perfect fit every time.

"One of the most fulfilling things for me about Dress Shop 2.0 is to see
how excited our customers are about the software," states Annette
Schofield, President and founder of LivingSoft. "It is not at all uncommon
for customers to write and tell us that Dress Shop 2.0 is underpriced for
the service it gives them."

"The warmest feeling I get is when people tell me that this is the first
software they've ever used. These people have never been motivated to even
turn on a computer before, even though they've had one in the family for
years. Some customers even tell us that they went out and bought their
first computer just to use Dress Shop 2.0." Schofield smiles. "When people
tell me that, then I know that we're doing what I wanted to do -- make
exciting applications which make small but significant improvements in
people's lives." She adds, "I hope that doesn't sound too corny. We know
we're not changing the world. Just giving customers a useful tool to
enhance an enjoyable hobby, save them some drudgery, thereby creating a
little more time in the day."

Dress Shop 2.0 is now shipping for MS-DOS. A Mac version is projected for
the first half of 1995. Suggested price for the main Dress Shop 2.0
collection is $129.95. Smaller versions of the program, with fewer
patterns, are available for $79.95 and $29.95.
