What is it?: All the Newest, PWADS, Editors, Hacks, Sounds, Patches, FAQ's,
and Reviews in the known shareware universe for DOOM and DOOM II.

Total CD disk space used: over 500 Meg
Total CD file count : over 5000

Handy database program (CDGofer) shows you all the files and a synopsis of
the description for each. Let's you extract or copy the files to your HD,
print the full associated text file, and let's you effortlessly swim
through half a Gig of files.

If you get alt.binaries.doom you can dnld a demo of the CDGofer program and
see what files are on the CD The File descriptions were removed because it
would have been a 42 part uuencode. As it is it is a 7 part uuencoded zip
of the CDGofer and all the databases. This way you can see what you get
before you pony up the credit card.

Most pWAD's ( over 1000 ) are available for direct play in our WADFest
directory on the CD.

Includes a FULL mirror of infant2, CompuServe, and AOL Doom file areas, all
on 1 CD-ROM!!! Files were continuously added, right up to production, so
we have the latest DOOM II WAD's, editors, and conversion utilities in
their own directory.

Gee, $29... why so much? The DoomWare Developers Network CD represents
thousands of dollars invested, and simply the most complete Doom world
shareware collection. We spent many, many hours searching for and grabbing
the latest files on the internet and on premium on-line services. We spent
many more hours sorting, cleaning, and organizing the disk. We also spent
much time and money developing software to make the disk accessible,
acquiring the merchant accounts, 1-800 numbers, order processing houses,
production accounts, advertising materials, ad space, and permissions.

How come there are other DOOM shareware CD's out that are a lot cheaper?
Here is the story. A long time ago one guy used a WORM drive at work to
make a CD of DOOM shareware stuff and it was pretty good at the time.
Later some other guy bought a copy of it and re-released it under his
name. Later yet another guy bought a copy and re-released it... and on and
on. It's the same old stuff. Ours is complete from the beginning of time
until present, even has the latest DOOM II stuff.

Aren't you ripping of the authors? We made every effort to exclude files
from authors who did not want to be included, and contacted many to make
sure they were cool with the whole thing. We released our own software to
the public domain, and even recompressed the files so that PKZip wouldn't
be abused.

Didn't you losers hog bandwidth with your massive downloading? We spread
the load across all of infant2's mirrors and accessed only during
off-peak. Infant2 was our last stop and by then, we had almost everything.
Of course, we mercilessly hogged bandwidth on pay-per-minute services like
CompuServe and AOL.

Who the hell ARE you? CyTech CodeHouse is a loose aggregation of serious
programmers. We do mostly custom work for government and private companies
and play DOOM. We bought a couple doom shareware collection CD's and they
sucked... bad. They had really old stuff, didn't make it easy to use, and
shamelessly ripped off authors who stated in their doc's that they didn't
want to be part of any CD collection. So we put our professional talents
together to make the most complete, current, and professional Doom CD
ever. The one WE would like to see.

What about BBS? Is it BBS ready? Nope, we didn't have room on the CD to
make a BBS ready area. Other DOOM CD's have a BBS ready area but we
figured that you would rather have ALL the DOOM stuff rather than half of
it and a duplicate section just to expand the market. If there is
sufficient demand we might do a BBS only version.

How can you sell DOOM II for 36 bucks? Easy we loose money on the deal. $36
is below wholesale. It's just a convenience to you and to id Software.

How can you do FREE shipping and handling? Also easy. Shipping and handling
are bogus ripoffs that companies use to sucker you in... offer a price
$2.00 lower than the competition but charge $5.00 for shipping and
handling. Shipping UPS ground is really cheap and handling is totally
bogus. There are enough ripoffs around, we don't need to contribute.
