Introducing Digital Trainer Professional

Easy to use Windows based authoring tool creates powerful multimedia
training programs.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, North Carolina - September 30, 1994 - at the ASTD
(American Society of Training and Development) Technical Skills Expo in
Indianapolis, MicroMedium Inc. introduced Digital Trainer Professional a
Windows based authoring program which offers users the ability to quickly
and easily create multi media training and testing programs called
"digital books," which can then be distributed on CD ROM, floppy disk, or
over a network. The pages of a digital book can incorporate video,
animation, Photo CD, audio, and text, as well as be read aloud in a male
or female voice. Digital Trainer Professional creates fill in the blank,
true or false, multiple choice questions and hotspots on images. Also
included is a testing and tracking program Performance Tracker, which
automatically records a users test performance along with an
identification number and name. It also comes with a royalty free 5,000
image library on CD.

"The beauty of Digital Trainer lies in the ease with which practically
anyone can create training programs using existing text, video,
photographs, and audio." said Keith Hamilton, Manager of Technical
Training and Performance at Bridgestone/Firestone. "The interface is very
user friendly and even more important, the people using the programs enjoy
them. The most powerful part of Trainer is that in a manner of hours after
outlining a program, I can shoot the video, record some interviews,
incorporate animation, or even Photo CD, and create a customized program
that suits our needs exactly, then make multiple copies and distribute
them."

Digital Trainer Professional is scheduled to be available October 1st at a
price of $5,000.00. Requirements include Microsoft Windows operating
system version 3.1, a 386 33Mhz or higher microprocessor, 4 MB of RAM, 2MB
of hard disk space, and a VGA monitor with a 256 or greater color driver.

MicroMedium Inc. is a member of the Microsoft Developer Network and
Multimedia Developers Group. They offer Microsoft Solutions Provider
Channel services, specializing in industrial training digital media
applications for Windows and Windows NT operating systems.
