DIGIBOARD ANNOUNCES UPGRADES TO C/X SYSTEM

CLUSTER CONTROLLER SOLUTION NOW AVAILABLE WITH DATA RECOVERY FEATURE AND IN
RACK-MOUNTED CONFIGURATION

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 14, 1994 -- DigiBoard today announced the addition of a
"Shut/Save" data-recovery feature to its C/X System, as well as the
availability of the C/X C/CON-16 concentrator in a rack-mounted
configuration. The C/X System is a cluster controller system that supports
up to 1,024 serial devices through a single slot and is ideal for the
configuration of high-performance multiuser systems, and for the addition
of high-speed modem ports to LAN communication servers. It consists of a
host adapter card and up to eight C/CON-16 concentrator boxes that each
support up to 16 terminals, modems or other asynchronous devices.

Shut/Save is available for users of servers and workstations running the
Altos UNIX System V operating system. The Shut/Save feature, in
conjunction with a supported uninterruptable power supply (UPS),
automatically backs up current files to the hard drive if a power failure
occurs. When power is restored, the file is automatically re-loaded and no
data is lost. Shut/Save is a feature of DigiBoard's Menu Port Interface
(MPI) which is shipped with SCO drivers. Shut/Save is available
immediately to Altos for Acer users at no charge, by calling (800)
344-4273.

"DigiBoard's attention to its customers' needs is inscrutable," said Scott
Bouman, President, Quest Research. "Many Altos users have been looking to
secure their valuable data for a long time and with the introduction of
DigiBoard's Shut/Save feature, loosing information through power surges or
black-outs is no longer a tremendous risk."

The C/X RACK 16, a modified version of the C/CON-16 concentrator, houses
the product's concentrator boxes in a rack-mount unit for simpler
installation and ease-of-use. The C/X RACK 16 is 1-3/4" (U1) sized and
features 16 RS-232 ports, in an industry-standard, 19-inch rack with
front-accessible RJ-45 connectors and displays, back-mounted DB-15
synchronous connectors and a built-in power supply.

The CX Rack 16 will be available Q1 1995 at $1,795(rack unit only) and will
work with ISA, EISA, Micro Channel and Sbus C/X host adapters.
