ARTISOFT AND IBM COMPLETE CROSS-LICENSING AGREEMENT
Technology Exchange for Networking Products

(TUCSON, AZ - Oct. 31, 1994) - Artisoft, Inc. and IBM Corporation recently
completed an agreement to exchange driver-level software for inclusion in
their respective network operating systems. This technology has been
incorporated into Artisoft's recently released LANtastic for OS/2 network
and IBM's LAN Server v4.0 network. The agreement includes IBM's licensing
of Artisoft NDIS driver software, which provides support for a wide range
of Ethernet adapters from Artisoft, Eagle Technology and other
manufacturers.

"This cross-licensing agreement helped us to quickly accelerate the time to
market for the LANtastic for OS/2 network," commented Artisoft Vice
President of Software Products Sunil Padiyar. "We are committed to
offering our customers and resellers superior technology for their
networking investment. Working with IBM, we are now offering a flexible,
powerful, yet easy-to-use network for OS/2 users as well as providing
current LANtastic users under DOS and Windows the ability to network to
the OS/2 operating system."

Artisoft also announced today that its LANtastic for OS/2 network is now
available through the company's distribution and reseller channels. This
software will allow LANtastic network users to easily integrate OS/2
system machines into their existing DOS and Windows networks. Because it
is based on the award-winning LANtastic core network system, the LANtastic
for OS/2 network provides connectivity to Artisoft's family of network
operating systems: the Simply LANtastic network, the LANtastic network
versions 5.0 and 6.0, and the CorStream dedicated server.

The LANtastic for OS/2 network offers another operating system choice for
LANtastic network users. Through its full line of networking products, the
company also currently offers connectivity to DOS, Windows, Macintosh,
UNIX, NetWare and Windows NT operating systems.
