Management Information Technologies, Inc., (MITi) announces the
availability of a new product from the next generation of READWARE
technology. The new software product, called ConSearch V3.0 for Windows,
is a breakthrough in information retrieval software for the mass market.
ConSearch stands for Concept Search.

ConSearch has a very high recall ratio because it recognizes word-ideas.
The program largely eliminates any overgeneration of irrelevant hits with
its proprietary conceptual knowledge-base that compensates for language
change and resolves problems of ambigutity. Accuracy is very high. It
achieves this in part by first knowing something more about language than
typical text retrieval systems and then by intelligently, unobtrusively,
and interactively focusing your query. Unlike other retrieval systems, it
reduces natural ambiguity in your query by automatically flagging words
that have more than one meaning. It helps you to zero to on what you are
looking for by information you about the meaning of what you asked. Once
you know (or are informed) that you are being ambiguous, you can easily
clarify your meaning.

One of its key features is that it can read text directly in most original
application formats and it can recognize and relate ideas written in
English, French or German. ConSearch uses READWARE technology to -read-
the relationships between words and can locate and display specific
information for you even if you don't know the exact words or context used
in the documents. This is very useful for accessing and correlating
information in various files downloaded from the internet or other
services, and when you don't know what words were used in the texts you
are searching.

Because the software can directly access the underlying concept structures
in words, you can use the words you can think of to locate and access the
text you are after. It automatically relates the words you use to their
synonyms and words bearing the same ideas. It can handle and display
formatted documents, tables, and the image formats used by most popular
applications. It also supports the use of embedded or linked images, data
structures, and tables in word processing documents. Users can browse,
cut, copy, paste, print, communicate, or otherwise re-use any information
accessed through ConSearch.

It is not even necessary to have the original application on your computer.
For example, you can access, display, and use information in a WordPerfect
or Microsoft Word document without having the WordPerfect or Microsoft
Word applications available on your computer. ConSearch runs on a 386 or
better computer with at least 4MB of main memory, a VGA adapter, and
Windows 3.1 or later.

MITi also offers its READWARE technology in a toolkit form consisting of C
Source and Object code for OEM's and software developers. The toolkit is
available for IBM, HP, DEC or SUN UNIX workstations, Apple Computers, and
DOS/Windows environments. ConSearch for Windows was created from the
toolkit that can be used to develop an endless range of new user
applications.

The READWARE toolkit and/or ConSearch V3.0 is available now. Call the
company in the US at 1-516-231-1254 for further information or to order.
In Europe call READWARE GmbH 4989/820 67 24 or FAX number 4989/834 32 70.
