APPLE, AMERICA ONLINE, MEDIOR FORM "2MARKET, INC."

21-November-1994 - Apple, America Online Inc., and Medior Incorporated
today announced the formation of 2Market, Inc., a new company that is
delivering personal, innovative, convenient, and entertaining ways of
shopping for consumer products and services from home. The first 2Market
services, announced today, are being delivered on multimedia CD-ROM for
Apple Macintosh and Windows personal computers and on leading on-line
services, including America Online and Apple's eWorld.

2Market, Inc. is receiving financing, technology, and marketing expertise
from the three established companies, each of which played a role in the
En Passant CD-ROM, a recent and successful pilot program that explored new
experiences in interactive shopping.

"With the success of En Passant, we saw a tremendous opportunity to be the
first company to deliver a new service that marries multimedia, CD-ROM and
on-line services to revolutionize how people shop," said Ted Leonsis,
chief executive officer of 2Market and president of America Online
Services Company. "The timing is perfect now because time-constrained
consumers are demanding convenience and they have the technologies in
their homes to support a new way of shopping."

The consumer desire for 2Market is validated by the success of En Passant,
a CD-ROM-based personal shopping service featuring goods and services from
21 premier catalog merchants that was sent to more than 30,000 Macintosh
users last winter. Not only did the pilot program verify that people would
shop from their computer, it showed that they preferred interactive
shopping to other passive home shopping experiences -- including paper
catalogs and TV shopping programs -- because it was personal, fun, easy,
and convenient. It also demonstrated that the whole family used the CD-ROM
-- not just one person -- and used it multiple times.

Other industry research further validates the demand for interactive
shopping from home. By 1998, Cambridge, Mass.-based Forrester Research
estimates that on-line services will reach an estimated 19 million
subscribers. The on-line shopping services category alone is estimated to
generate nearly $5 billion dollars in sales.

Technology Satisfies Consumer Need

2Market believes that consumers will be drawn to its services because it
combines the convenience, leisure and time-savings of home shopping with
the merchandise variety, control and entertainment of a trip to the mall.
Equally important, it uses the power of interactive multimedia to achieve
something entirely new: in-depth written, graphic, audio and video
information about products and services; shopping experiences tailored to
individual tastes; electronic ordering; and gift-giving services.

"The combined efforts of America Online, Apple Computer, and Medior have
resulted in a product that will greatly enhance customers' shopping
experiences," said Steve Franzese, director of Apple New Media and project
director of En Passant. "2Market makes shopping come alive with video,
sound, and graphics."

The first 2Market CD-ROM includes thousands of different products from over
25 leading catalogs and retailers, as well as a one-step connection to
America Online. Additionally, an assortment of products and services will
be available on America Online and eWorld and will provide content
tailored to on-line capabilities.
