URBAN STRIKE TAKES POPULAR ACTION SERIES TO A NEW LEVEL

SAN MATEO, CA, September 29th, 1994 -- Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS), a
global leader in the interactive entertainment industry, today introduced
the release of Urban Strike, the latest in the Strike line of action video
games for the Sega Genesis system. Urban Strike will be available for the
1994 holiday season.

The new game is a sequel to Electronic Arts' highly popular Desert Strike
and Jungle Strike. Both were industry hits receiving many awards including
the Best Driving/Flying Simulation by Sega. These products helped to
pioneer a new category that blends high-firepower action with strategy
elements. Players lead a Special Forces team in a series of tactical
missions, using a variety of advanced military craft and weapons to quell
threats to world stability.

In this newest installment, the story moves to the year 2006. Players must
complete 13 multi-stage missions, using next generation military
technology such as advanced helicopters to foil terrorist actions and
defeat a plot to overthrow the U.S. government. Events culminate in a
furious battle with the enemy leader and his private army.

Part of the fun of the game is its wry take on future geopolitics. The
writers have made a playful guess at who might be president in 2006, and
they've created a villain who is something of a cross between a media
mogul and a political cult figure. The action takes place in major cities
across the United States.

Urban Strike takes the Strike series to new heights of realism and
dynamism. "We've added a wish-list of features requested by customers,"
said Scott Berfield, executive producer for the Strike products. "There
are new vehicles and weapons, new tactics and enhanced graphics. Special
simulation techniques have been used to create the feel of flying through
dense-packed cityscapes. Players not only pilot various air, land, and sea
craft -- now they can leave the vehicles and carry out assaults on foot".

"Urban Strike gives players everything they've come to expect from the
Strike series and more-more firepower, more excitement, more challenges,"
Berfield said. "It will excite existing customers and attract new fans as
well" he concluded.

Urban Strike is available now at a suggested retail price of $59.95.
