UNIX EXPO SETS RECORDS IN 1994, ANNOUNCES 1995 SHOW DATES AND THEME

Approximately 416 Exhibitors and 31,048 Attendees Visit Computer Industry's
Premier UNIX and Open Systems Event; Highlighted by Enterprise Solutions
Focus and New Product Announcements

(New York, NY, Oct. 6) -- UNIX EXPO affirmed its leadership as the most
comprehensive enterprise solutions event for UNIX, Open Systems and
Internet, as the show concluded its three-day run, October 4-6, at the
Javits Convention Center in New York City. At the Eleventh Annual UNIX
EXPO, 416 exhibitors displayed the latest technology for enterprise-wide
business solutions to a total of 34,048 corporate volume buyers and
resellers.

Bolstered by the success of the show, UNIX EXPO show management announced
the theme of the 1995 shows as, "Enterprising Solutions for the Open
Systems Age," building on the show's established record of offering
comprehensive business solutions -- including the integration of
technologies and applications across platforms -- to a highly qualified
audience.

The show will take place September 19-21, 1995, returning to the Javits
Convention Center, and drawing on the strategic financial and corporate
technology purchasing marketplace concentrated in the New York area.

Major new product announcements by IBM Corporation, Motorola Computer
Group, Bull, Tandem, and other companies, together with the debut of the
Internet Village at UNIX EXPO, contributed to the increased attendance and
the level of excitement at this year's show. The Internet Village was a
unique showcase of business applications and services for the Internet
from more than 30 participating companies. Advanced Network & Services
(ANS) Inc., was the official Internet service provider at the show, and
Digital Equipment Corporation was the official sponsor and hardware
supplier of the E-Mail Village Green, a hands-on section of the pavilion
where UNIX EXPO attendees could send mail to other attendees and the
outside world.

Conference attendance at this year's UNIX EXPO event increased
substantially. The program featured 57 seminar sessions -- including a new
Internet conference track -- and more than 15 tutorials.

Highlights of the conference program included a keynote panel session, "The
Internet and Its Role in The Business Community," moderated by Tim
O'Reilly of O'Reilly & Associates Inc., and a separate keynote address by
Larry Ellison, president and CEO of Oracle Corporation, entitled,
"Parallel Software for Information Management."

The conference program also included a special plenary session where
panelists from both sides also debated the merits of Windows NT vs. UNIX
in the show's closing plenary session, "The Future of the Enterprise
Server: UNIX vs. Windows NT," moderated by David Flack, editor-in-chief of
Open Computing.

The growth of UNIX EXPO this year is obvious when compared to the number of
exhibitors, attendees and net square footage of exhibit space last year,
according to Don Berey, show director for UNIX EXPO. In 1993, the show
recorded 358 exhibitors occupying 139,000 net sq. ft., of exhibit space,
and approximately 31,501 attendees.

UNIX EXPO is produced by Blenheim's Information Technology (I.T.) Events
Division, based in Fort Lee, NJ, part of Blenheim Group PLC, the world's
largest producer of conferences and exhibitions with more than 46 I.T.
expositions around the world that annually attract more than 600,000
corporate volume buyers and resellers.
