KSC ANNOUNCES "TRY BEFORE YOU BUY" SOFTWARE FOR NATIONS SOFTWARE
DEVELOPERS. TEMPORUS TURNS "PIRACY" INTO EXCITING NEW SALES OPPORTUNITIES

Temporus Software will feature full range of protection capabilities while
promoting broad marketing opportunities for software vendors and the
distribution channel.

October 5th, 1994, Atlanta, Georgia -- KSC announced today the release of
its software security program called Temporus. Designed as a very powerful
anti-piracy security program, it will also offer software developers and
their distribution channels a very flexible and exciting methodology for
taking advantage of the new electronic media for software distribution.
Temporus does not require any hardware dongles or hardware activators,
allowing software developers to distribute their products via magnetic
disks, CD-ROMs, BBS's and Shareware.

"The statistics regarding lost revenues on a worldwide basis are
staggering," says Ed Hanley, National Sales Manager for KSC. "It's
estimated that over 13 billion dollars are lost annually as a result of
software piracy. In some countries, stolen software represents over 80% of
the total amount of software packages installed. In the United States
alone, 1.5 - 2 billion dollars annually goes uncollected as a result of
piracy."

Temporus is currently available for the Windows platform, Windows NT and
OS/2. A DOS version is expected to be available in the next 30 - 45 days.
Software development kits will also be available for all platforms.
Installation is usually less than an hour and Temporus can be integrated
into any language or system which supports simple Windows or OS/2 API
calls.

Some of the application possibilities for Temporus are:

Copy Protection and User Registration:

Temporus can be installed on all software packages, even those that are
sold through traditional distribution channels. After a few days use of
the application, a screen informs the user to call and register. It's a no
charge call to the user, but the supplier gets all the user information
which will provide a direct sale opportunity for updates and upgrades.
Copies can be made of the software application and installed on another
computer. This copy now has a "time stamp" and will eventually lock up
unless the user calls for an "unlock code." Even copies of copies can be
made, all fully protected, providing the supplier very broad market
exposure.

Mass Distribution Marketing:

Take advantage of the trend in CD-ROM and BBS marketing. This very
inexpensive way of reaching millions of prospects is becoming the new
software distribution method of the future. Full versions of application
software can be put into the hands of countless end users with full
control and management of each and every one. No one gets away without
paying.

Foreign Distribution Channels:

Due to the high rate of piracy in many foreign countries, many foreign
distributors are very interested in distributing "protected" software. In
some Southern and Eastern parts of the world, no "piracy laws" even
exist.

OEM Marketing:

Many suppliers bundle a "lite" version of their product with hardware. The
opportunity here is for the software supplier to make their money on
selling the full featured, advanced or multi-user versions of the software
that is pre-packaged with every piece of hardware.

Software Rental:

An alternative to outright purchase of sophisticated and expensive software
packages, software rental, bundled with maintenance and support services,
is becoming popular. By using Temporus, each rental customer can buy an
amount of time. When more time is needed, a simple call to the supplier
"unlocks" more time.

These are just a few of the exciting possibilities using Temporus. For more
