CHILI PEPPER SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH SYTRON CORPORATION
FOR HIERARCHICAL STORAGE MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY

September 22, 1994, Atlanta, Georgia -- Chili Pepper Software, Inc., the
leading manufacturer of Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) software for
the desktop PC, today announced a licensing agreement with Sytron
Corporation of Westboro, Massachusetts to private label their flagship
storage product Infinite Disk. Sytron Corporation expects to announce
availability of their new product by October 1994. The terms of the
agreement were not disclosed.

Sytron Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rexon, Incorporated, is a
leading software developer specializing in archival software solutions.
Sytron sells its products through distribution, computer OEMs, Host
Adapter, tape drive manufactures, and resellers. There are over 1.4
million users of Sytron archival software products worldwide.

"We believe the time is right for a PC product which actively manages the
users data," says M. Thomas Makmann, President of Sytron Corporation.
"Taking into consideration the release of many new high performance PC
applications and the growth of the multi-media industry, the need for
Personal Storage Management (PSM) grows more critical each day," continued
Makmann. "We see an excellent market potential for this technology."

HSM has long been associated with mainframe computers to transparently
migrate and recall files from secondary storage devices. With Infinite
Disk, Chili Pepper Software has brought this technology down to the
desktop PC level. Infinite Disk supports various types of media for both
Windows and DOS environments, therefore meeting the storage needs of
today's desktop PC users.

"We're pioneers in the desktop storage management industry," said Richard
M. Onyon, President and CEO of Chili Pepper Software. "By licensing our
technology to Sytron we're automatically penetrating new markets and
further validating the desktop storage management arena."

HSM Experience

With Infinite Disk, files are automatically compressed and/or relocated
based on how frequently they are used. Files that have not been used for a
number of days (user specified) are compressed in place (Level 1
Migration). Files that have not been used for an additional number of days
(also user specified) will be moved off-line to another device, such as a
floppy diskette, removable hard drive, optical, or some other cost
effective media (Level 2 Migration).

Every file migrated by Infinite Disk still appears to be on the local hard
drive (0 Bytes in size), and the PC operates as usual. When a migrated
file is accessed, in any way, it is automatically decompressed or recalled
from off-line media without disturbing the application in use. Simply put,
Infinite Disk reduces or removes files that are never used, and brings
them back the moment you need them - providing virtually infinite disk
space.
