Raosoft, Inc. releases Version 2.7 of Raosoft SURVEY and SURVEYFIRST, for
power data collection and statistical analysis that's easy enough for
non-experts. This powerful upgrade from Version 2.5 provides for new
applications in both collection design and analysis and will be shown at
COMDEX.

Booth S-4056, COMDEX/Fall 1994

SEATTLE, October 3, 1994 -- Raosoft SURVEY, Version 2.7 provides for data
handling--both data collection and statistical analysis--in an interface
designed for non-experts as well as experts. A major update over Version
2.5, introduced in November, 1994, Version 2.7 provides additional support
for electronic data collection plus more statistical analysis capacity.
Many new features are present to support network and mail-out or notebook
powered data collection, such as giving greater customization of the
screen appearance, if wanted, to the designer. Statistical analyses
maintain the same one-stroke, menu-driven selection ease as in Version
2.5, so that no computer expertise is needed. With Version 2.7, Raosoft,
Inc. continues in its vision to provide the tools by which end-users of
any level of computer experience can handle their data by themselves,
turning it into useful information.

DOS-based and Windows-compatible, Version 2.7 is expected to be the final
DOS version of Raosoft SURVEY. A Windows version is planned for mid-1995;
meanwhile, Version 2.7 contains a special overlay memory management
feature to handle memory more efficiently for Windows users.

Shipping begins October 26, 1994. The price is maintained at $495 for
Raosoft SURVEY, Ver. 2.7, and $195 for Raosoft SURVEYFirst, Ver. 2.7
(which is the full SURVEY program limited to 1000 records). Either will
run on floppy or hard disk drives and needs only 512K memory, DOS 2.0 or
higher. Both are fully networkable and Windows-compatible. SURVEY has no
limit to the database size that it can work with except system capacity,
SURVEYFirst is limited to 1000 records. Both support unlimited
fieldnames.

The new form design features in Ver. 2.7 have been developed to answer
requests from customers for greater design control over automated data
entry screens, and for options to provide precision guidance to those
entering data.

Among the major new features in Raosoft SURVEY, Ver. 2.7, are electronic
form polishing options, an overlay memory management capacity to handle
memory more efficiently for Windows users and new testing and
self-instruction features (especially for use by trainers). Users may
analyze with a 'gap analysis' capacity, which compares two different data
sets and looks at their differences. A few additional options that provide
new flexibility in forms and data entry are:

-- Virtually complete control over the screen appearance,
   including toolbars, menus, text colors
-- More confidentiality for network usage
-- Skip patterns based on IF, THEN, ELSE
-- Unlimited number of follow-up fields that have been
   prespecified
-- Validation with double entry for data

Plus major new analysis features:

-- Gap analysis calculates the difference between answers to
   two selected matching questions
-- Testing and scoring options, plus self-learning features
where the participant can see the correct answer and
   retake the test
-- Analyze text/comment data by group
-- Batch output for analysis for statistical tables and graphs
   in volume

None of the above features require programming experience to create. They
are triggered by means of straightforward single commands or menu
selections.
