First Hospitals Report Major Benefits;
New Pricing Options Make System Affordable for Any Supplier

Wilton, CT, September 28, 1994...OnCall*EDI, a new Windows-based system for
electronic procurement, is now rolling out to U.S. hospitals. Shipments
have already been made to over 40 hospitals with many more expected within
the next 60 days. Early reports indicate strong user acceptance of
OnCall*EDI and major improvements over existing systems for electronic
ordering. In addition, pricing options were announced by TSI
International, developer of OnCall*EDI, allowing participation by any
healthcare supplier for as little as $895 per hospital.

OnCall*EDI was developed based on requirements defined by leading
healthcare suppliers including Baxter Healthcare Corporation, Bergen
Brunswig Drug Company, Boise Cascade Office Products, and Eastman Kodak
Company. Unlike generic EDI software, OnCall*EDI automates EDI
relationships between suppliers and hospitals through pre-built,
pre-configured EDI Kits. Each Kit incorporates the EDI requirements of a
supplier and is delivered to the hospital as a "plug and play" solution.

Streamlined Operations at Baylor Medical Center

Reports from hospitals using OnCall*EDI have been very positive,
particularly with regard to its ability to streamline hospital operations
and reduce procurement costs. Jim Jones, Manager of Information
Systems/Distribution Systems at Baylor University Medical Center in
Dallas, Texas, said that "OnCall*EDI's ability to receive order
acknowledgments and have them reconciled within its database will give us
a major leg up in moving to a complete evaluated receipts settlement
approach. With the systems we have now, many orders are acknowledged by
phone. This means delays in matching orders, receipts, and payments."

Baylor processes approximately 600 orders per day with an annual value
estimated at $60 million. They are a member hospital of VHA, a group
purchasing organization, and currently use multiple systems for electronic
order entry. Baylor sees significant advantage in having only one system
for EDI and is the first hospital to test the use of OnCall*EDI with four
suppliers concurrently.

"Having a single system for electronic procurement is going to make a big
difference," noted Jones. "We will be able to manage our EDI activities by
exception now, and focus our attention on improving the process, not
resolving exceptions from redundant systems. We believe OnCall*EDI, in
tandem with other Baylor initiatives, will allow us to re-deploy the
equivalent of two full-time personnel from routine order follow-up to
pro-active problem solving."

Improved Accuracy at Rush-Presbyterian

Andy Seipos, Operations Director for Materials Management at
Rush-Presbyterian - St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois - sees
improved data accuracy and better information as key benefits of
OnCall*EDI. "Today, we deal with many different suppliers, some
electronically, but many by paper. By having all of our EDI orders
processed through a single system, we'll have one place where all
electronic order information is maintained. This means only one place to
go for auditing, reconciliation, and order status," said Seipos. "In
addition, getting more of our paper-based relationships converted to
OnCall*EDI will eliminate at least 100 paper purchase orders a day."

Seipos also noted, "The built-in database in OnCall*EDI means having all
EDI information in a consistent format, regardless of supplier. OnCall*EDI
has facilities that ensure transactions going into the database are
scrubbed and meet EDI requirements. No matter where our EDI order
information originates, it will be clean and in a common format."

Starter Program Priced at $895 Per Hospital

Participation in OnCall*EDI is open to any healthcare supplier. The cost of
participation is based on the level of customization needed to meet the
suppliers' EDI requirements and the number of hospital trading partners.
Suppliers trading with just a few hospitals can join the OnCall*EDI
program for as little as $895 per hospital. Volume discounts are available
which bring a supplier's per-hospital cost to less than $200.
