Announcing the release of OmniCon v2.0
THE BEST UNIT CONVERSION UTILITY FOR WINDOWS!!!

OmniCon v2.0 has just been released.

OmniCon is a very useful utilty to perform conversions for you. If you need
to know how many feet are in 2 metres, or how many mL there are in a
gallon, then OmniCon is the perfect program for you!!

The operation of OmniCon is VERY straightforward. You just pick the
physical quantity that you want (say length, time, or viscosity - among
MANY others), pick the unit in which you have the known value (say 10
metres), and then the unit in which you want the converted value (say
feet).

OmniCon is useful for scientists, engineers, doctors, cooks, teachers,
students, and almost everyone else!

Version 2.0 includes many new and useful features, such as:

 - a user-configurable shell program to run instead of just the
   normal Windows calculator
 - the ability to remember all of your settings and the placement
   of OmniCon on your screen
 - the ability to preload or not load the Physical Constant table
and the Metric prefix table (in order to save system
   resources), AND
 - increased accuracy of conversions!!

OmniCon v2.0 is available on most FTP sites such as CICA, SimTel, and MANY
mirror sites.

In order to evaluate OmniCon v2.0, just FTP to "ftp.cica.indiana.edu" (or
"ftp.cdrom.com"), and go to the cica/util directory. The file name is
"omnicn20.zip".

OmniCon is SHAREWARE software, which means that you can try it out for up
to 30 days without paying. After this amount of time, you must pay $15
(CAN or US funds) in order to keep using it. OmniCon v2.0 is not
"crippleware" - there are no lmitations to what the UNREGISTERED copy can
do. You will, however, be given a gentle reminder when you start OmniCon
that you have not paid. After this message, NO screens will appear.

OmniCon is written in Visual Basic v3.0, by a university student at Queen's
University in Kingston, Ontario, CANADA.

I hope that you find OmniCon interesting and useful. I look forward to
hearing from some of you!!!

OmniCon v2.0 is 100% Canadian Software - eh!
