EPIC MEGAGAMES RELEASES ONE MUST FALL 2097

Arcade Style Fighting Game Comes To The P.C.

Rockville, Maryland -- October 1, 1994 -- Epic MegaGames, Inc., a top
publisher of shareware games, announces the release of ONE MUST FALL: 2097
(OMF). OMF is a one-on-one combat game that brings the best of console and
arcade fighting games to the PC, while adding new features and playability
never before seen in this type of game. Pilot giant 90 foot robots that
fight with the kind of "feel" you've been waiting for in a PC combat
game.

While Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter ll are all the rage at the arcades
and on home video game systems, computer owners have been left with very
little to choose from. OMF fills that gap and expands the genre, with a
new tournament mode and tons of user definable options.

OMF also features a "non-violent" attitude that is sure to please parents,
while keeping the kids happy. As designer Rob Elam explains "We want to
prove that playability is more important to you than simply slapping a few
characters onto a screen and putting the words 'Blood', 'Deadly', or
'Violence' in the title".

With 10 "Pilots," 11 Robots ('Bots) and 5 arenas as well as multiple
difficulty and speed settings, OMF offers amazing replay value in arcade
mode alone. But where other fighting games leave off, OMF is just getting
started. In addition to the standard one-on-one mode, OMF features 4
tournaments allowing players to define their own 'bot, from strong
fighting skills right down to multiple color combinations.

As players progress thru battles, they earn money that can be put into
upgrades and training to improve their 'bot. Simulation mode is available
for practicing against any robot in any arena to prepare for the
tournament.

Perhaps the most unique feature of OMF is the ability for 2-player
head-to-head play via 2 Gravis PC Gamepads and a Y-adaptor. This method of
play offers true arcade and console game play, a first for any PC fighting
game.

Released as shareware, OMF is available on CompuServe and major BBS
systems, with the full version available directly from Epic MegaGames. The
shareware version contains 4 'bots, 1 arena, 5 pilots and 1 tournament
mode, allowing players to try out the 'feel' of the game before buying the
full version. A strategy guide is also available to help players discover
all the moves and features of each unique robot.

With over 120 frames of 3-D rendered animation per robot, multi-channel
sound effects and heart pounding music in stereo, OMF plays like no action
game on the PC to date. Featuring interactive arenas and hidden
characters, as well as special "destruct" moves players must discover, OMF
is sure to keep you coming back for more.
