Novell Adds Internet Access Toolkit Free of Charge with Purchase of LAN
WORKPLACE

Internet Kit Includes Graphical Navigation Tools, Remote Dial-In
Capabilities and One Month Free Connect Time

September 1994 -- In response to growing customer demand for easier access
to resources on the worldwide Internet network, Novell recently announced
the availability of a free Internet Access Tool Kit, including free
Internet connect time, with the purchase of its industry-leading LAN
WorkPlace TCP/IP product. Novell's LAN WorkPlace provides easy, concurrent
access to NetWare, TCP/IP and Internet resources right from the desktop.
The Internet Access Tool Kit, available for a limited time with the
purchase of LAN WorkPlace, has an estimated value of more than $100 per
node.

"As the leading supplier of TCP/IP, Novell is ideally positioned to provide
Internet connectivity," said Rick Bohdanowicz, vice president of marketing
for Novell's UNIX Systems Group. The new graphical dialer in Novell's LAN
WorkPlace product, coupled with the graphical navigation tool from
Ameritech Corporation, is the perfect solution for them."

According to PC Magazine, the number of Internet users has skyrocketed to
more than 20 million. These users must access the Internet via a TCP/IP
backbone, which provides interoperability between the user's desktop and
the UNIX-based Internet. More than two million people are already using
LAN WorkPlace to provide them with dependable TCP/IP connections to
corporate and remote resources.

Novell's free Internet Access Tool Kit consists of the following:

* Graphical Dialer--Novell's Graphical Dialer simplifies remote dial-in for
MS Windows users who need to access TCP/IP resources. It includes an
automatic dialing feature that manages network connection tasks
automatically, so the user isn't interrupted every time a network
connection is made.

* Internet Navigation Tool (WinGopher)--WinGopher is a graphical tool
developed by Ameritech Library Services for searching all publicly
available Gopher servers and resources on the Internet. These servers and
resources, called GopherSpace, comprise one of the fastest-growing groups
of resources on the Internet, growing 997 percent in 1993.

* Free Internet Connection Time--Explore the Internet for one full month
free of charge. Users get basic service through commercially available
AlterNet, provided by UUNET, one of the first companies to provide
professional Internet access.

Novell's Internet Access Tool Kit is free with the purchase of LAN
WorkPlace through October 31, 1994. LAN WorkPlace has a suggested retail
price of US$399 for one user, US$1,995 for 10 users and US$12,995 for 100
users. Customers call 1-800-BUY-NOVL or contact their local Novell
reseller to get the LAN WorkPlace promotional package. Outside the United
States and Canada, customers can call 1-408-577-8995 or contact their
local Novell reseller.
