HIT THE ICE WITH NHL '95

SAN MATEO, Calif., October 1, 1994 - EA SPORTS today announced its plans to
introduce the most significant enhancements to date of NHL Hockey. With
over 20 new features, NHL '95 boasts full season mode, player trades, drop
passes, and all-new player animations.

"NHL '95 features the most sophisticated season mode ever created for a
16-bit game machine," said Scott Orr, EA SPORTS Vice President. "For the
first time, players will be able to pick a team and lead them through a
full 84 game NHL season. Now, as the season progresses, players can check
their individual player's rankings in six different league-leader
categories, including goals, assists, saves, and overall points."

In addition to compiling player and team season stats, NHL '95 allows game
players to execute trades and create new players to add to their league.
Teams can also be affected by multiple player injuries.

Additional new gameplay elements include drop-passes, fake shots, and
defenders "hitting the ice" to block slap shots. New defensive and goalie
artificial intelligence make the computer controlled opponents more
difficult to beat, and more like actual NHL action.

All-new player artwork and animations gives NHL '95 a fresh look and feel.
More realistic slap shots, skating and checking animations makes NHL '95
an even more authentic game. New goalie animations make dramatic saves
such as the double pad stack, or the top-shelf glove save, even more
exciting.

NHL '95 features the most current rosters and player ratings, based on the
actual '94 NHL season. Players can choose to be any of the 26 NHL teams
and skate with every player in the NHL.

The Sega Genesis version will ship this October to coincide with the start
of the NHL season, and the Super NES version will ship in November. Both
products will have a suggested retail price of $64.95.
