Typeforms

The latest Macintosh program from Hartley Courseware gives students an
appreciation of the many ways there are to communicate. Learners
experiment with different forms of written communication, from ancient
symbols used by the Egyptians to modern digital type.

Six modules are included: Stencil Letters, Handset Type, Morse Code,
Braille, Digital Font and Hieroglyphics. Students can manipulate letters
or symbols in various ways to create personalized messages. In addition, a
complete explanation of that particular mode of communication is offered,
along with its history, instructions for using the module and suggestions
for use.

Functions operate by clicking easy-to-understand symbols with the mouse.
Students can listen to the computer "read" hieroglyphics, click out Morse
code patterns, read in Braille, develop new type fonts, color stenciled
letters and print their creations.

Typeforms runs on the Macintosh II series, Macintosh Quadra family or
Performa family with System 7.0 or higher and a 12-inch color monitor or
larger in 8-bit mode. Typeforms costs $69.00. For more information,
contact Hartley Courseware, 3451 Dunckel, Ste. 200, Lansing, MI
