FOREFRONT ANNOUNCES FOREHELP 2.0

User requests drive new features and usability enhancements

October 10, 1994 -- BOULDER, CO -- ForeFront, Inc. is announcing the
January, 1995, release of ForeHelp 2.0--the latest version of the
award-winning help authoring software for Windows where the author works
in an actual visual and functional help-like setting. Current ForeHelp
users, made up of both Windows programmers and corporate/technical writers
who create help files and standalone hypertext applications, primarily
directed the content of 2.0.

ForeHelp's new features include creating and maintaining multiple RTF files
for multiple authors creating one help file, autogenerating a print
document from the help file, displaying 256 color bitmaps via an embedded
window DLL, and displaying the contents of embedded windows in ForeHelp's
Test mode, which exactly simulates the finished help project without
compiling.

Some of the new time saving elements of ForeHelp 2.0 are autocreation of
table of contents topics with the appropriate listing of topics with their
jump or popup links created; help project templates and a copy topic
option to assist in minimizing reentry and standardizing help file
content, formatting, and setup; support for bulleted and numbered lists;
and a new, easy-to-use macro editor with the ability to save a macro or
series of macros by name for use elsewhere in the help project.

Enhancements to existing features include a new format bar and customizable
button bar, intelligent RTF file import where new topics are created and
topic names are assigned based on text styles; scaling and cropping
bitmaps and scaling metafiles; preview pictures prior to insertion;
improved picture naming scheme; reading and writing C, Pascal and Visual
Basic include files for context mapping; visual display for setting window
class attributes; and many usability improvements.

ForeHelp promotes high productivity and a shortened learning curve because
of the familiar Windows help interface and the fundamental help features
built right into ForeHelp's environment.
