AWARD-WINNING KIDS ART PROGRAM COMES TO CD-ROM

"EA*KIDS ART CENTER" LETS PRE-SCHOOLERS CREATE ARTISTIC MASTERPIECES IN
MINUTES

SAN MATEO, Calif., September 20, 1994 -- The imagination and creativity of
children as young as three years old can be explored with EA*Kids newest
release for Microsoft Windows-based machines. EA*Kids Art Center is a
combination electronic easel, sketchbook, coloring book, and art class all
in one. Plus, this new Windows-based CD-ROM version includes a Screen
Saver Construction Kit so art can be prominently displayed at all times on
a proud parent's computer screen (or the child's own screen, for that
matter).

EA*Kids Art Center, which has been available for the Macintosh for several
months, has received numerous prestigious awards, including the National
Parenting Center's Seal of Approval. It is also a finalist in Child
Magazine's 1994 Software of the Year awards.

The artistic skills of children are developed with five colorful, engaging
activities -stickers, coloring book, costumes, paint box, and block art --
each of which involves a range of variations that combine for hours of
learning and fun. Creativity, an essential component of child development,
is nurtured with EA*Kids Art Center, along with valuable skills like
picture composition, matching, and shape recognition.

The Stickers activity comes with twelve sheets of different kinds of
stickers that can be used to stamp anywhere on a background scene.
Thematic examples include animals and dinosaurs, certain to capture the
imagination of young children. Coloring Book lets children choose a scene
from a large collection of black-and-white pictures, then color it in.
There are 11 different backgrounds and a rainbow of electronic crayons,
allowing children to create whatever their minds imagine. Costumes lets
children dress people up in different clothes, hairstyles, and
accessories. The variety of characters with mix-and-match outfits will
keep budding fashion designers fascinated for hours.

The Paint Box lets children draw and paint whatever they want. A wide range
of colors, funny paint brushes, and different tools -- each with its own
sound -- empower children to create virtually any scene they can imagine.
Any picture created in EA*Kids Art Center can be turned into a screen
saver using the Screen Saver Construction Kit. Block Art lets children
build pictures using blocks in different shapes and colors. This teaches
them shapes and reinforces fine motor skills as they match colored blocks
with a variety of pictures.

EA*Kid's Art Center was designed specifically for pre-schoolers but will
entice children of all ages. A principal feature of EA*Kids Art Center is
an intuitive interface and a beginner's level so that children as young as
age three can produce artistic masterpieces in just minutes. There's
additional On-line help in the Windows-based CD ROM version as well.

Another important feature of EA*Kids Art Center is its printing capability.
One simple print command lets parents print out their child's art work so
that it can be prominently displayed around the house. Black-and-white art
can also be printed to create custom coloring books.

The product is currently available for Macintosh and Windows-based machines
in leading software retail outlets nationwide. SRP: $49.95. Street price
around $39.95.
