New Utility changes the way people look at Windows.

DO-OVER provides flexible look and feel options to Windows users

October 31, 1994 -- Promising to be "The End of Boring Windows", Kansmen
Corporation today announces Do-Over!, a low cost utility that lets a user
change the look and feel of Microsoft Windows 3.X.

"For the first time, Windows users can select the color and font for nearly
every aspect of the Windows environment," Kanhom Ng, President of Kansmen
Corporation said. "Menu Bars, dialog boxes, backgrounds, text, buttons,
borders and frames can all be redesigned using Do Over!" Ng continued.

Do-Over! gives the user or system administrator the ability to control
nearly every aspect of the look of the Windows environment. An easy to use
menu lets the user see the changes as they are made. A unique interface
defines the Windows elements. Enabling or disabling the changes is as easy
as a single button click.

A large variety of sample Do-Over! faces lets the user choose a variety of
Windows looks, ranging from fun, seasonal looks (like one for St.
Patrick's Day and another for Halloween), to faces that are designed as
clearly professional upgrades. A face that is similar to the unreleased
Windows 95 (formerly called Chicago) can give users a head start on using
the future operating environment. Faces that resemble X-Window and other
commercially available user interfaces are also included.

Do-over! can be used to easily create a custom look for each user, or for a
group of users. "Do-Over! is ideal for companies that want to add a
unique, company specific look to their Windows desktops," Ng stated. With
the ability to change bitmap dialog boxes, design unique buttons, and
apply desired fonts and colors, Do-Over! makes customization easy.

A library of system buttons, designed for efficiency or for fun, is shipped
with Do-Over. A user who is tired of the boring minimize and maximize
arrows can replace them with various objects, including geometric symbols,
large and small boxes, musical notes, fruit, balloons, or other objects.
New buttons can be easily designed by the user, using the Paint program
included with Windows.

Do-Bar! provides unprecedented ease of use

In addition to the powerful screen customization tools provided by
Do-Over!, a mini-application that provides one button access to each
running program is also included in Do-Over!.

The Do-Bar! will quickly prove to be indispensable to many people who use
it," Ng said. "It makes switching between applications a snap."

Do-Bar! is a utility that displays icons for all applications that are
currently running. The bar can be located along any edge of the
screen--top, bottom, left or right. When a user wants to switch from one
application to another, a single click on the application's icon on the
Do-Bar! instantly opens and maximizes the application. This is much
simpler than repeatedly pressing Alt-F4, or minimizing an application and
double clicking on an icon to open another one," Ng said.

The Do-Bar! does more than provide a simple method for maximizing any
running application. A Run button brings up a listing of program groups.
When selected, the applications in each program group are displayed on
screen. Clicking on the desired application's icon automatically starts
the application.

The capabilities of Do-Bar! go beyond loading or opening applications. An
on-screen clock displays the current time and date. A Config button lets
the user select the location of the Do-Bar!, choose whether to open the
DoBar! when Windows is first started, and to decide whether or not to show
an application's icon, in addition to its name, when the Run button is
pressed. Further, the user can decide whether to pop up a balloon that
shows an application's name when the cursor is moved over its icon, and
how quickly the balloon is displayed after the mouse cursor points to it.

A task management menu, enabling the user to maximize, minimize, close, or
bring an application to the top or bottom of the task management menu can
be opened by selecting the icon and pressing the right mouse button. Task
management has never been simpler.

Finally, an Exit button provides an almost instant way to leave Windows.

Do-Over! begins shipping on October 17. Do-Over! has a suggested list price
of $59. When ordered direct from Kansmen Corporation, Do-Over! will be
available at a special introductory price of $29, through March 30,
1995... A demonstration version of the product can be downloaded from the
Kansmen Corporation BBS at (408) 263-0892.

Do-Over! was previously announced under the name Desktop FaceLift. Desktop
FaceLift was not shipped, and has been extensively revised for release as
Do-Over!
