DeScribe, Inc. modifies its Expiration Date Policy to Address Customer
Concerns.

Naples, FL - October 4, 1994 - DeScribe announced, as a direct response to
valid customer concerns, it will modify its recently announced Expiration
Date Policy effective immediately. While all copies of DeScribe 5.0 will
continue to be shipped with an Initial Expiration Date, beyond which the
product will not function, users may obtain Unlimited Expiration Date
disks simply by signing and returning the DeScribe Continuing License
Agreement (CLA) which is enclosed with every shipment. Neither the IXD
disks nor the UXD disks are copy protected.

The retention of the IXD and the requirement to execute the Continuing
License Agreement will protect DeScribe as well as provide high
flexibility for users of DeScribe products.

Last week's announcement of the IXD ignited a storm of controversy over the
Company's proposed plan. Since the earlier announcement, the electronic
bulletin boards have been active with opinions both pro and con. While
DeScribe received a number of cancelations as a result of its stand, new
orders have been brisk.

Among the e-mail messages were many valid criticisms as well as a number of
proposed alternatives. DeScribe is considering these alternatives as
protection for future product releases, however DeScribe will submit
future ideas to open debate before implementation.

There has been almost universal agreement that piracy is a serious problem.
By requiring registration and through the placement of hidden serial
numbers within each product, DeScribe believes it will be better enabled
to serve its legitimate customers while being able to identify the source
of pirated materials.

The Continuing License Agreement is a straightforward statement and
commitment by DeScribe's customers that they will use their best efforts
to protect DeScribe's software from piracy. Upgrade and New Users who have
already purchased DeScribe 5.0 may refuse to execute the Continuing
License Agreement and will be able to obtain a 100% refund. The purpose of
the agreement is less for legal enforceability than it is an
acknowledgment of the bi-lateral nature of the DeScribe software license.

As a result of this modification to the original policy, non-Subscription
(CX) edition customers of DeScribe 5.0 will no longer receive automatic
updates. Subscription Edition (SE) users will continue to receive updates
however it will be their option whether or not to install their updates
and when to do so.

All DeScribe 5.0 English language versions are now priced consistently
world wide at $159 for the CX Edition and $299 for the SE Edition.
Additional Language dictionaries are available at $99 each. International
registrants outside North America are subject to an additional $30
International Registration Fee to cover the cost of shipping the Unlimited
Expiration Materials.
