Delrina Acquires AudioFile

Plans to Integrate Leading Voice/Telephony Technology into WinFax

SAN JOSE, CA and TORONTO, ONT - October 18, 1994 - Delrina Corporation
(NASDAQ:DENAF, TSE:DC), a world leader in PC communications software,
today announced the acquisition of AudioFile, Inc. of Lexington, MA, a
leader in the rapidly expanding computer-telephony industry, and maker of
TalkWorks for Windowsa, which combines the power of voice communications
with the flexibility and ease of use of personal computers. Delrina plans
to integrate the TalkWorks technology into future versions of its business
and consumer/home products, including its industry leading WinFax,
WinComm, Communications Suite, and FormFlow software. The TalkWorks
technology provides extremely high rates of audio compression (36:1) and
has a dynamic variable playback capability, making for the first time,
voice message management on a PC very practical.

With the purchase, Delrina also acquires a research division in
Massachusetts, dedicated to exploring easier and more affordable ways to
improve business communications by leveraging voice-based technologies.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"The incorporation of AudioFile's telephony and voice technology gives us
an additional competitive edge that will allow us to maintain our
technical leadership in PC messaging," said Dennis Bennie, Delrina
Chairman and CEO. "Just as modem manufacturers started with data modems
and added fax, now they are adding voice and telephony control. We
continue to work very closely with our OEM board manufacturers now in
telephony."

"Delrina and AudioFile are setting a new standard for Windows-based
communications and voice messaging," said Dr. Richard Goldhor, Chief
Technical Officer at AudioFile. "The combination sets us apart in the
market today with the most advanced multimedia audio capabilities for fax
and voice mail."

AudioFile+s TalkWorks is the first product of its kind to truly integrate
voice on the desktop. With TalkWorks, users can record and play voice
messages, and have these messages easily integrated with E-mail, Lotus
Notes, databases, electronic forms, personal information management (PIM)
systems and other applications. TalkWorks supports virtually any sound
board and can utilize the telephone to play and record audio.

"We understand that our customers require a messaging model that will deal
with data, fax and voice in a single interface," said Bert Amato,
Delrina's Chief Technology Officer. "We believe that many of the existing
telephony products do not offer the advanced features that our solution
will offer. Anyone who uses voice mail in a business environment knows the
frustration of not being able to manage voice messages easily."

AudioFile's complete product offering provides a variety of integrated
voice messaging capabilities in the Microsoft Windows environment,
including: telephone answering; telephone call control; business audio
(multimedia); integrated fax and e-mail; and, networked
telephony/multimedia services.
