Todd Enterprises Presents the Mixed Media Server,
"The Swiss Army Knife of Mass Storage"

PC EXPO, June 20, 1995 -- Todd Enterprises, Inc. announces a powerful
solution in mass storage networking systems, the "Mixed Media Server". The
Mixed Media Server integrates a wide variety of different storage mediums
including CD-ROM drives, hard drives, CD-ROM disc changers, CD-ROM
jukeboxes, tape drives and/or WORM drives into a single cabinet. Whether
utilizing existing hardware or future hardware purchases, the Mixed Media
Server is configured to meet the individual requirements of the customer.
Once connected to a network, all information becomes available to the
clients/users who have access to the server in a seemless transparent
manner. The server is compatible with all major network systems and can be
set up to run multiple configurations to support your individual needs.

"The server's purpose is to be able to serve the client base.
Traditionally, servers have always used the same kind of medium, either
hard drives or tape. Now with the wide variety of media in the
marketplace, a mixed-media server gives our customer the ability to use
their current media without conversion or changeover," said Alan Sarfaty,
President of Todd Enterprises. "The Mixed Media Server gives our clients
the ability of anticipating growth with their current or new media types"
he added.

An extremely effective feature designed into the Mixed Media Server and an
essential element of the majority of Todd's product line, is the docking
rail system. Todd's docking rails provide easy mounting and servicing of
all components including: WORM, CD-ROM and tape drives. The entire system
employs a "Plug-and-Play" environment that allows expansion as the
requirements grow. The system's components are mounted in a vertical
format providing mass storage with minimal space requirements.

The cabinet comes with leveling feet, locking casters and removable doors
and side panels for easy service. The front door features a plexiglass
panel that allows the components to be monitored while secured in a
dust-free environment. To ensure proper operating temperatures, each
component rack has a cooling fan integrated with a temperature monitoring
system that includes an audio alarm and LCD display.

The Mixed Media Server is available with a wide range of options depending
on the requirements. A wide variety of CPU configurations and a choice of
either an LCD or standard VGA monitor is available. Key locks are
available for both the front and rear door for added security. In order to
accommodate special situations, climate control and air filtering systems
are available that permit the Mixed Media Server to be installed in harsh
industrial environments. Temperature/heat exchangers provide climate
control by using an indirect cold air method to reduce cabinet
temperature, whereas air conditioning provides filtering by exchanging the
air itself which is very useful for dusty environments. For a minor
investment, these systems protect the entire server environment and allow
businesses to take advantage of technology where they otherwise could
not.

Todd suggests and installs hardware and software solutions for the server's
integrity. Software monitors the power requirements and when power falters
for a designated time frame, it shuts down the server in an orderly manor.
A UPS is recommended and is also available. The Mixed Media Server is
compatible with all of the major operating systems including: DOS, Novell
Netware, Unix, Banyan Vines and Windows NT. Management software for all of
the server's associated media is available from Todd Enterprises, Inc.

The concepts behind the development of the Mixed Media Server are
customized information, compatibility with the current media and
versatility by allowing for additions of new media formats as the
requirements of the network grow. The Mixed Media Server is a perfect
addition to any business that is looking to concentrate their mass storage
into one centralized location. The system carries a one year warranty,
extended warranties are available. From software to hardware, Todd
Enterprises is an innovator in mass storage systems and a leader in open
systems integration.
