NEW SHARP ELECTRONIC ORGANIZER FEATURES EXPANDED MEMORY AND POWER

NEW YORK, June 20, 1996 -- Sharp Electronics Corporation introduces the
YO-380, the latest in Sharp's line of compact, lightweight and affordable
personal information organizers. The YO-380 combines traditional organizer
features and powerful 256K of memory with the ability to exchange
information between IBM PC and compatible computers, using optional
linking software (model CE-390, version 1.2). The unit can also exchange
information with other Sharp YO-300 series electronic organizers via an
optional dubbing cable (model CE-300L).

"The YO-380, along with the rest of the YO-300 series electronic
organizers, offers advanced information management capabilities for people
on the go," says Mary Repke, director of marketing, Sharp Consumer
Business Products Group.

The YO-380 organizer incorporates a built-in expense tracking function
which permits users to calculate daily and weekly expense totals. The unit
also features a standard calculator keypad with a currency/unit conversion
capability to assist the worldwide business and leisure traveler.
Additional built-in functions include monthly, weekly and daily calendars,
schedule, anniversary, three telephone/address files, memo, to-do list and
home and world clocks.

The YO-380 offers ample memory for users who need to manage large amounts
of information. The 256K memory can store up to 6,850 names or 4,270
appointments.

The YO-380 features a typewriter-style, QWERTY keyboard and high-contrast
20 x 4 line LCD display. Designed to fit in a shirt pocket or purse, the
unit measures only 5.4 x 3.1 x 0.7 inches and weighs just 6.6 ounces.

The unit runs on two standard CR-2032 lithium batteries, available at most
drug and camera stores. Batteries will last for 1,200 hours or
approximately 2 1/2 years of normal use. The YO-380 has a suggested retail
price of $199.99.
