ROUTE 66 for OpenDoc on display at OpenDoc Pavilion
PC Expo New York June 20-22, 1995

VEENENDAAL, the Netherlands, NEW YORK - PC Expo '95 -- June 20, 1995--ROUTE
66, Inc. today announced that it is participating in an OpenDoc
Developer's Pavilion at PC Expo in NYC from June 20-22, 1995.

With OpenDoc, users of ROUTE 66 will have the ability to zoom in and out of
maps, calculate routes, and even fax information, while working inside of
other documents. "It truly opens up a whole new range of applications for
end-users and provides them with dynamic integration of different
applications across platforms," said Job van Dijk, President and CEO of
ROUTE 66. 'We are excited to be able to publicly demonstrate ROUTE 66 for
OpenDoc for the first time to such a large audience at PC Expo, less than
a year after our initial announcement."

According to Van Dijk, "The opportunities for smaller and flexible
developers are enormous. We believe that the different publishing model,
that will exist as soon as component software is mainstream, is going to
be very beneficial for the industry as a whole, and it is going to
revolutionize user experience and user satisfaction immediately followed
by user expectation--which is why ROUTE 66 will be OpenDoc compliant by
the time OpenDoc is launched."

Last month, the company was awarded first prize for ROUTE 66 at an OpenDoc
developers "sample parts contest" held at Apple's Worldwide Developer's
Conference.

ROUTE 66 calculates the shortest, quickest, or least expensive route
between locations for you and shows the results on an overview map with a
complete route description on either a black-and-white or color display.
This program will show you the exact distance to travel, which route to
travel, how long the journey will take and even provides you with a good
cost estimate.

ROUTE 66 provides the user with a view of an entire trip at a single
glance, with enlarged details and a route description that offers detailed
directions. Waterway connections are also included. The various maps and
route descriptions can be printed, if desired, for use while travelling.
The user simply enters a number of variables, such as speed, fuel price
and fuel consumption per mile or kilometer. The route description will
display the travel time, the distance, the fuel costs and more.

ROUTE 66 is currently available for Macintosh and Windows. The Macintosh
version is optimized for Power Macintosh and uses AppleScript and
AppleGuide, two of the key features of Apple's newest system software
release, MacOS 7.5 The Windows version is ready for Windows '95 and is
completely 32-bit compatible. Maps are available for Benelux, Eastern
Europe, Europe, Germany, Italy, Scandinavia, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland,
Austria, United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States. ROUTE 66 is
bundled with a local map and is available for a suggested retail price of
