PNY DESIGNS, BUILDS, TESTS AND SHIPS FLASH SIMMS

Moonachie, N.J. (June 20, 1995) -- PNY Electronics, Inc. a global leader in
the design, manufacture and distribution of memory modules for personal
computers, printers, portable computers and workstations, has successfully
built and tested its design for Jedec Standard 80-Pin Flash SIMMs (single
in-line memory modules).

According to Joe Klein, PNY's director of research and development, "Flash
memory is a significant advancement because it is non-volatile. In other
words, flash memory can retain data if power is suddenly interrupted. It
enables end users to continue where they left off once power is
restored."

"Flash SIMMs are also programmable," adds Charlie Pace, PNY's director of
engineering. "This means applications set-up, such as instructions and net
lists can be preloaded into the module. In fact, as an added convenience,
PNY can pre-program our flash SIMMs before shipment. PNY will provide this
service free-of-charge for those who order quantities of 10,000 or more."

Presently, flash SIMMs are commonly used in networking systems and
printers. PNY's new 80-PIN flash SIMMs are presently available in 4 MB-16
MB densities and in 1 M x 32, 2 M x 32 and 4 M x 32 configurations. PNY
will begin shipping flash SIMMs in .5 M - 4 M densities in early July.
Demand for flash memory in the VAR and distribution channels is expected
to build in the latter part of 1996 or early 1997.
