TOSHIBA EXHIBITS NEW NOTEBOOK COMPUTER AT PC EXPO '95
Toshiba also features three recently-introduced notebooks

NEW YORK -- June 20, 1995 -- Booth #3036 -- The Computer Systems Division
of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. (TAIS) introduces the
Satellite Pro 400 Series, which incorporates a high-performance Pentium
processor and is CD-ROM ready.  In addition, Toshiba will exhibit their
entire product line including Portg ultraportables, the Performance
Notebook Series and the value-priced Satellite and Satellite Pro Series.

accessories, including the new additions to the Portg, Satellite and

At PC Expo, Toshiba marketing representatives will conduct product
demonstrations which will feature customer applications and technology
solutions.  Highlights of the portable products to be shown are:

Satellite Pro 400 Series

Debuting at PC Expo is the Satellite Pro 400 Series, which incorporates a
high-performance 75MHz Pentium 2.9-volt processor and advanced lithium-ion
battery in a CD-ROM ready notebook.  Available in two models, the
Satellite Pro 400 Series has a new modular options slot, SelectBay,
allowing for interchanging the modular floppy disk drive with the CD-ROM
drive.  The Satellite Pro 400CDT comes with the modular Quad-Speed CD-ROM
drive, the modular floppy disk drive and the external floppy drive case. 
The Satellite Pro 400CS comes with the floppy drive module standard and,
the CD-ROM module and external floppy drive case can be purchased
separately.  Other features of the Satellite Pro 400 Series include 8MB of
high-speed EDO DRAM (expandable to 40MB), two stacked PC Card connectors
for two Type II or one Type III card, a built-in power supply, advanced
video subsystem with 24-bit True Color support and bright 10.4-inch color
displays.

Portege 610CT

The Portege 610CT is the industry's first Pentium ultraportable computer,
offering a new 90MHz Pentium 2.9 volt processor from Intel Corporation. 
Providing unsurpassed multimedia performance, the Portg 610CT has
integrated Sound Blaster Pro-compatible 16-bit sound that supports MIDI
and .WAV, a high capacity 720 million byte (=686) hard disk drive,
lithium-ion battery, two stacked PC Car connectors for two 5mm Type II or
one 10.5mm Type II card, a 3.5-inch external floppy drive (bundled) and a
large 16.7 million color 9.5-inch TFT-LCD display.  This ultraportable
computer weighs only 4.8 pounds.

Satellite Pro T2150CD

The Satellite Pro T2150CD is Toshiba's first notebook computer with an
integrated 5.25-inch double speed CD-ROM drive.  As a complete portable
multimedia solution, the Satellite Pro T2150CD has a large 10.4-inch color
screen - either TFT active-matrix (T2150CDT) or dual-scan color
(T2150CDS), an integrated AccuPoint pointing device, integrated AC adapter
and a local-bus graphics accelerated video controller.  The Satellite Pro
T2150CD also has built-in Sound Blaster Pro compatibility including 16-bit
.WAV and MIDI audio functionality, built-in microphone and external
speaker, and headphone and microphone jacks.  Prices start at $3,199.

Value-Priced Satellite Models

Toshiba recently introduced the Satellite T2110CS and the Satellite T2130
Series, both which incorporate "Turbo 75" technology which can outperform
100MHz competitors while offering better battery life.  Both feature a
high-performance 75MHz IntelDX4 microprocessor and are ideal for the
value-conscious consumer.  The Satellite T2130 Series also features an
integrated power supply, 8MB of standard RAM, a 520 million byte (=500MB)
hard disk drive and a choice of a 10.4-inch dual-scan STN or active matrix
TFT color display.  The T2110 has a 350 million byte (=330MB) hard disk
drive and 4MB (RAM expandable to 28MB).
