NEW OSBORNE/McGRAW-HILL SERIES FOCUSES ON THE WORLD OF DIGITAL PREPRESS AND
PRODUCTION

Compact, Detailed Guides to Scanning and Digital Prepress to Launch Digital
Pro Series

Berkeley, CA, June 2, 1995--Osbome/McGraw-Hill has announced the creation
of the new Digital Pro Series, a collection of compact, detailed guides
for computer graphics and design professionals. The first two books in the
series, slated for release in the third quarter of 1995, will cover the
complex issues of scanning and preparing digital images for print.

"Given the phenomenal growth of computer use for publishing, design,
graphics, and illustration, there is a compelling need for detailed books
about specific aspects of the prepress and printing process," says Larry
Levitsky, publisher and general manager of Osborne/McGraw-Hill. "The
Digital Pro Series is designed to meet this need by focusing on specific
issues of concern to designers, illustrators, publishers, and other
communications professionals. The series will concentrate on intermediate-
to high-level information with a depth unmatched by anything currently on
the market."

Each book will be tightly focused, contain straightforward, no-nonsense
information, and run from 128 to 148 pages in length. The series is
directed toward intermediate to advanced creators of print publishing
materials, including graphic designers, advertising agency personnel,
photographers, corporate marketing communications professionals, print
production workers, educators, and service bureau employees.
