Orange Micro Announces an MS-DOS and Windows Hardware solution for PCI
based Power Macintosh 9500.

June 19, 1995 -- Anaheim, CA - Orange Micro announces the newest model, the
Series 400, of its popular OrangePC MS-DOS and Windows Coprocessor card
for the PCI based New Power Macintosh 9500, also announced today.

With the OrangePC PCI card, both Macintosh and Windows programs run
simultaneously on the Power Macintosh 9500. The OrangePC has a user
installable 486 microprocessor including an Intel DX4/100 or Pentium
OverDrive. With up to 64Mb on-board RAM using standard 72 pin SIMMS and
256K of secondary cache, your PCI based Power Macintosh is fully 486
compatible. Run 486 software or Windows programs in standard or enhanced
mode with true dual processing. With 1Mb Video RAM expandable to 2Mb, you
have full SuperVGA graphics with support for all standard PC graphics
modes. Other standard features include support for PC floppy disk via the
Macintosh SuperDrive, and support for reading PC formatted CD-ROM's with
the Macintosh CD drive. OrangePC also includes networking software that
allows you to access NetWare file servers through an Ethernet or Token
Ring connection provided by the host Macintosh.

Optional Sound Blaster I/O port add-on card.

In addition to the standard features OrangePC can be configured with an
optional Sound I/O card which provides 2 serial ports, 1 parallel port, 1
game port, and 16 Bit Sound Blaster with sound in/out ports.

The parallel port is especially valuable for compatibility with hardware
protected (Dongle) PC software. The 16 Bit Sound Blaster and game port
features are necessary for PC games, but more importantly for the rapidly
growing PC based multimedia offerings.
