New Olicom Token-Ring PCMCIA Adapter Gives Mobile and Remote Users Greater
Ease of Use, Better Performance

June 20, 1995, PC EXPO, New York, NY - Olicom (NASDAQ: NMS, OLCMF), a
leading provider of high-performance network solutions, today announced a
new version of its PCMCIA Token-Ring Adapter that offers increased
performance and a new set of utilities that dramatically reduce the amount
of time required to install, configure and maintain the product.

The new Token-Ring GoCard PCMCIA adapter is part of Olicom's family of
PCMCIA products (recently renamed the GoCard line) which combines
performance, quality and ease-of-use with aggressive pricing to address
the needs of mobile and remote users. The GoCard products are ideal
solutions for these users who require speedy access to their corporate
networks, on-line services and fax services. In addition, the new GoCard
incorporates a new installation utility that saves users time and money.
The utility enables completely automatic installation of NetWare client
software and includes Windows-based Help files so users can retrieve
important information on-line.

The adapter also offers a number of built-in self-configuration features,
such as automatic sensing of UTP or STP connection, to further simplify
configuration. Support for the PCMCIA live insertion/removal capability
allows users to insert and remove the adapter during operation of their
system without losing their network connection, and support for "hot
swapping" lets users "swap" the GoCard for another type of card (such as a
modem card) while their system is in use.

Furthermore, Olicom has improved the method of physically connecting the
Token-Ring GoCard Adapter to the network, saving users time and effort.
Unlike many Token-Ring PCMCIA adapters which provide an external media
access module (MAM) to facilitate the physical connection, the new GoCard
Adapter integrates this functionality within the adapter so no external
devices are necessary - users simply connect the cable from the adapter
directly into a wall outlet.

"With our GoCard line of products, our goal is to provide the growing
number of mobile and remote users with the same high performance
networking solutions they are accustomed to using on their corporate
desktops," said Max Jensen, president and CEO of Olicom, USA. "As we add
to this product family, we will continue to increase performance, improve
ease of use and add new features like 'hot-swapping' that address the
specific needs of the mobile and remote users."

The new Token-Ring GoCard utilizes the latest release of Olicom's PowerMACH
software drivers to provide increased performance. The drivers use an
advanced parallel processing technique to reduce latency and minimize use
of the PC bus and CPU by allowing several processing tasks to be performed
simultaneously. This technique improves the overall performance of the
adapter.

The complete line of Olicom GoCard adapters, which also includes an
Ethernet PCMCIA adapter, conform to the latest Personal Computer Memory
Card International Association (PCMCIA) standards and can be installed in
any notebook, laptop, palmtop and desktop system providing support for
PCMCIA peripherals. Network management is provided through Olicom's
graphical, Desktop Management Interface (DMI)-based Adapter Information
for Windows (AIW) management utility which provides easy access to
hardware and software configuration details as well as useful information
on system files and error reports. An SNMP desktop agent, available as a
free-of-charge option, provides industry-standard information on the
workstation and its network traffic to network management systems such as
IBM NetView, HP OpenView and other SNMP-compliant systems.

Pricing and Availability

The new version of the Olicom Token-Ring GoCard PCMCIA Adapter is available
now for a U.S. List price of $350. The entire family of GoCard adapters
