NETWORK TECHNOLOGY JOINS CI Labs, WILL SHIP MEDIAscript WITH OPENDOC

NEW YORK, N.Y. - June 20, 1995 - At PC Expo, Network Technology Corporation
announced that it is joining Component Integration Laboratories, Inc. It
also announced that it will ship OpenDoc technology in versions of its
successful MEDIAscript family of advanced OS/2 multimedia authoring tools.
An OpenDoc Multimedia Script Part and Handler for MEDIAscript with full
support for OpenDoc technology will be available across the MEDIAscript
OS/2 product line.

Thomas S. Vreeland, President of Network Technology, said, "We are excited
to be able to provide high performance multimedia interactivity for
OpenDoc. OpenDoc is important to us because it is the only object
technology that maintains open standards, support for multiple platforms,
and has the commitment of leaders of the software industry. These features
are especially important to us in creating multimedia publishing tools."

The MEDIAscript family of tools is optimized to enable authors to create
richly concurrent and highly compelling interactive multimedia
applications using hardware and software video, animation, high resolution
images, and high quality digital audio. It provides authors with
object-oriented visual programming tools for capture, editing,
organization, management, and publishing of their multimedia assets on
CD-ROM or on-line servers.

OpenDoc, the leader in cross-platform interoperability, enables
object-oriented solutions through component software. It is based on the
Object Management Group's CORBA standards and is embraced by CI Labs, an
open industry association. CI Labs membership will provide Network
Technology Corporation with support for component software development and
test and validation suites.

Speaking of the technology, Mr. Vreeland said, "The combination of OpenDoc
technology and MEDIAscript will change the way you think about, and work
with, multimedia. Don't be surprised to see your preconceptions about
multimedia computing shattered."
