International User Conference & Exhibition

Conference to be held October 30 to November 1, 1995 at Moscone Center, San
Francisco

San Francisco, CA--June 5, 1995--Macromedia, Inc., (NASDAQ:MACR), the

announced the Conference program and keynote speakers for the 1995
Macromedia International User Conference & Exhibition. Keynote speakers
will include:

The Conference, which is the largest gathering of multimedia developers,
graphic designers, publishers, trainers and multimedia enthusiasts
worldwide, will be held October 30-November 1, l 995 at Moscone Center in
San Francisco, CA. The theme of this year's Conference, "Digital Design
Studio: Breaking Through," sets the tone for the four comprehensive
tracks- Graphic Design, Multimedia Publishing, Corporate, and Technical.
New this year, are a series of programming workshops on developing Xtras
for Macromedia products. Session speakers include:

Leading companies involved in new media are sponsoring the Conference,

Hands-on training sessions for both Windows and Macintosh users, led by
Macromedia product trainers will be offered at a variety of skill levels.
Attendees have an opportunity to learn first-hand the basics of authoring,
modeling, animating and other techniques. Those who want a more personal
approach can bring their own projects and get feedback from Macromedia
engineers in the technical labs.

The Multimedia Gallery features the world's most creative display of
cross-platform multimedia titles. Forty corporate, education,
entertainment and business applications will run on kiosks throughout the
Conference as well as a display printed Digital Art. Attendees will vote
on their favorite presentations for the People's Choice Awards. The
Gallery will open at the Conference kick-off party on October 29.

In addition to the Conference, the trade show floor is expected to cover
more than 6000 square feet and showcase over 50 hardware, software and
peripheral vendors as well as title developers. Exhibitors include Avid,

A unique feature of the Macromedia International User Conference, the
Hacker Sessions offer the opportunity to be in a room full of developers,
Macromedia staff and computers. The time is unstructured to network, show
off latest projects or get input on how to solve complex problems. Another
place where Developers can network, demonstrate projects and exchange
technical information is the Developer's Suite. The Developer's Suite will
have CD-ROM burning systems, show and tell stations, technology
demonstrations and "Birds of a Feather" discussions.
