POINT-AND-SHOOT DIGITAL CAMERA TARGETS VERTICAL MARKETS, MOBILE COMPUTING
APPLICATIONS

NEW YORK CITY, June 20, 1995--Visitors to the Kodak Digital Science booth
at PC Expo will see the company's first branded offering in the
fast-growing category of point-and-shoot digital cameras. Priced under
$1000, the Kodak Digital Science camera 40 makes it simple for business
people to add digital pictures to their reports, presentations and other
compound documents published on desktop computers.

Anyone purchasing a Digital Science camera 40 during the show will receive
a free carrying bag with every camera.

About The Kodak Digital Science Camera 40

The Digital Science camera 40 leverages Kodak Digital Science expertise in
both consumer photography and digital imaging. It offers:

* A higher-resolution sensor (756 x 504 pixels) than competitive
cameras, along with 24-bit color for sharp, vibrant images.
* As many as 48 images can be taken before downloading to a host
computer, thanks to expanded on-board memory and improved
  compression.
* The ability to change lenses, along with automatic adjustable
exposure, to give users flexibility in the way they shoot their
  pictures.
* Approximately 500 exposures from a single set of lithium batteries
(depending on the number of images that require flash).

The camera has other valuable point-and-shoot features including a
self-timer, flash override and tripod mount.

The Digital Science camera 40 captures digital images with just the push of
a button. Users open a lens cover, frame the subject in the viewfinder and
then shoot the picture. Images are transferred from the camera through a
standard RS232C interface cable to Windows software or a Macintosh
computer or laptop.

The camera is currently shipping with Windows PhotoEnhancer software from
Picture Works Technology, Inc., a package that lets users view their
images as thumbnails, perform simple color correction and retouching and
export them to other applications as PICT, TIFF or EPS files. Macintosh
software is expected to become available later this summer.

Pictures As Information

The Digital Science camera 40's image quality and flexibility make it well
suited for those who are interested in using pictures to capture or convey
important information. These might include insurance adjusters preparing
claims reports, real estate agents developing property listings and
security specialists creating ID cards.

Using Kodak Digital Science developer tool kits, a number of value-added
resellers (VARs) have integrated this camera into applications that
include commercial real estate appraisals and textile technology
research.

Because the camera captures images so easily, the resulting image files fit
on a standard high-density computer disk. The camera provides an ideal
alternative in applications currently using desktop scanners, still video
cameras and frame grabbers or instant photography/scanner combinations.
