IOMEGA ZIP DRIVE IS "HOT" AT RETAIL

Low Price, Diverse Capabilities, Added Software Cited as Keys to Success

ROY, Utah, May 1, 1995--Computer City, America's pre-eminent computer
superstore retailer, today said the new Zip drive from Iomega Corporation
is one of the best selling new computer peripherals in the company's
67-store chain of computer superstores.

The Iomega Zip drive, a removable storage drive for computers, sells for
$199.95 and 100MB Zip disks for $19.95 each at Computer City SuperCenters
across the country.

"Hands down, it's one of the hottest selling products I've seen in a long
time," said Alan C. Bush, Computer City president. "These affordable
little drives that easily solve three vital consumer needs in one product
for less than $200 are flying off the shelves as quickly as we can stock
them."

Widely acclaimed by national press and industry analysts since its
introduction last year, the Zip drive is receiving wide acceptance among
the consumer market.

"Iomega worked very closely with consumers to develop Zip drive from the
ground up to not only meet their computer storage needs, but to enhance
it," said Kim B. Edwards, Iomega president and CEO. "Computer City's
immediate success in selling Zip drives validates that Iomega has
successfully given the consumer a product they want, where they want to
buy it, at a price they are willing to pay."

Zip drives provide unlimited storage on 100-megabyte Zip disks enabling the
drive to serve as a hard-drive upgrade with unlimited capacity, as a
hard-drive backup or as an indispensable peripheral to mobile computers.

More than just hardware, however, every Zip drive includes free Zip tools
software for file organization and management to create a total solution
that enables customers to easily organize, save, share, transport and
protect computer information--from games to files, applications and entire
"environments" on 100-megabyte Zip disks.

"We are in the era of consumer technology and nothing is more important to
users than value," Bush said. "The Zip's low price, easy installation and
added capabilities of the bundled software makes this an excellent product
for desktop and mobile users who simply need more room at an affordable
price."

Computer City is the nation's pre-eminent computer superstore retail chain
with 73 locations throughout the U.S., Europe and Canada. A division of
Tandy Corporation, Computer City is the only computer superstore
authorized to carry Apple, AST, Compaq, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Leading
Edge, NEC, Packard Bell, Tandy and U.S. Logic personal computer products
under one roof.
