InVision and FirePower Unveil Industry's First Video Conferencing Enabled
PowerPC Desktop Systems

New PowerPC-Based Windows NT Systems are Preconfigured for Video
Conferencing Over LANs, WANs, Internet and Telephone Line

June 12, 1995 -- Tulsa, OK -- InVision Systems Corp., a pioneer in the
desktop video conferencing industry, and FirePower Systems, Inc. (Menlo
Park, Ca.), a premier OEM supplier of PowerPC-based systems, today
announced the industry's first video conferencing ready desktop systems.
Based on the award winning InVision 3.1 software, the systems are
pre-configured to support one and two-way video conferencing over a
variety of communication media, including LANs, WANs, the Internet and
standard telephone lines. FirePower's Powerized ES and MX products are
based on the high-performance PowerPC microprocessor and runs the Windows
NT operating system. The systems come pre-installed with video
conferencing and video compression software. With this announcement, users
can take advantage of desktop video conferencing without having to install
add-in boards.

InVision is the industry's first and only desktop video conferencing system
that packetizes video and audio for distribution over LANs, WANs and the
Internet. This approach allows users to distribute video conferencing
content over their existing data communications infrastructure, such as
hubs, routers, bridges, and network adapters, as well as ISDN and standard
telephone lines. InVision 3.1 supports one-to-one video conferencing;
one-to-many capability; and IP Multicasting for one-to-many broadcasting
of video over the Internet.

"Video conferencing is a killer application for Windows NT and the
Internet," said Ken Erbes, President of InVision Systems. "With this
announcement, Windows NT users will immediately be a part of the video
conferencing community. Because the FirePower systems come standard with
video capture, Ethernet and full-duplex audio, users do not have to add
any additional equipment or reconfigure their desktop system.

By combining InVision's video conferencing technology with FirePower's
high-performance PowerPC systems configured with Windows NT, users can
immediately take advantage of an easy-to-use solution that
cost-effectively provides one-to-one and multiparty video conferencing.
With H.261 support coming later this year, FirePower users will be able to
interoperate with users of other video conferencing systems. This
announcement is a major step toward making video conferencing a mainstream
enterprise technology."

The FirePower systems are fully pre-configured with InVision Lite, based on
the award winning InVision 3.1, and provide the board level integration
and fast processing power necessary to support high-quality video
conferencing in a multitasking environment. Each ES and MX system provides
high-speed memory, Ethernet networking, 24-bit graphics and CD-quality
audio, while the MX line also includes high performance video capture.
Using National Semiconductor's sophisticated NSVideo software video
compression technology, these systems are able to deliver smooth, up to 30
frames per second video, while minimizing network or communications
traffic. FirePower systems are available through its OEM partners.

"FirePower's platform opens the innovation door for software developers,
such as InVision, to create new, exciting and practical solutions that are
cost-effective," said Glen Miranker, Vice President, Hardware Engineering
at FirePower. "The degree of integration FirePower provides is beyond any
PC desktop on the market today. This example opens the door for future
applications and solutions."

More About InVision

InVision also gives corporate users a number of ways of taking advantage of
the Internet for collaborative computing. In addition to the IP
Multicasting feature introduced with the newest release of the product,
InVision also allows users to establish one-to-one video conferencing
sessions over the Internet. The quality of the video and audio in these
sessions is only limited by the dial-up or dedicated access the users have
to the Internet. For users who do not have a high-speed Internet access
service, InVision's VisionGraphics document conferencing software enables
multipoint, many-to-many collaborative work on single, or multiple,
documents over the Internet. Users can view the same document
simultaneously and make comments and corrections in real-time that can be
viewed by the other participants in the session.

Price and Availability

The Powerized ES product family is available in three microprocessor
configurations: the ES380, which is based on an 100MHz PowerPC 603; the
ES3100, which is based on a 100MHz PowerPC 603e; and the ES4100, which is
based on a 100MHz PowerPC 604. The systems are designed to allow OEM
customers to offer high performance systems at estimated end-user street
prices starting below $3,000. The ES3100 is available immediately; other
systems are scheduled to be released in the third quarter of 1995.

About InVision Desktop Video Conferencing Software

InVision is the industry's first network-based video conferencing system to
operate on today's desktop computers, LAN network topologies and protocols

provided through existing network topologies, including Ethernet, Token
Ring and FDDI; network protocols, including TCP/IP and IPX; and wide area
connectivity options, including Tl and Fractional Tl, ISDN, Frame Relay,
ATM and standard telephone lines. Unlike systems that are based on
discrete wide-area telephone connections, InVision makes video
conferencing readily available to every user in the enterprise, regardless
of the connection required.
