IMPROVE TECHNOLOGIES INTRODUCES Make-it 486, A HIGH-PERFORMANCE 386-486
PROCESSOR UPGRADE FOR $99

---------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY: Based upon the Texas Instruments SXL2-50MHz processor, the Make-it
486 includes 8KB of internal cache and provides performance increases of
up to 300%. The resulting price/performance ratio of the Make-it 486 is
two to four times greater than competing products.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

OREM, Utah--June 19, 1995--Improve Technologies today introduced Make-it
486, a high-performance 386-to-486 processor upgrade with a suggested
retail price of $99.

The Make-it 486 is a processor upgrade designed to be used in IBM and IBM
compatible 386 SX and DX personal computers. The new Make-it 486 offers a
speed increase of up to 300% on various applications. According to Jon
Funes, Improve Technologies Product Manager, the Make-it 486 delivers
twice the performance of similarly priced and more expensive 8KB and 1 KB
processor upgrades.

"Improve Technologies gives credit for this enhanced performance to
management of the Make-it 486s 8KB internal cache," Funes said. "By making
efficient use of the 8KB cache, the Improve upgrade gives twice the
performance of similarly priced, competitive processor upgrades with 8KB
of cache. Competitive 8KB upgrades with inferior cache management provide
a 50% to 75% performance increase comparable to that of popular 1 KB
upgrades. The Make-it 486's superior management of the 8KB cache provides
performance increases of up to 300%."

The Make-it 486 upgrade uses the Texas Instrument SXL2-50MHz processor.
This 50MHz processor provides the 8KB internal cache considered standard
on 486 processors. The addition of the 8KB internal cache and the 486
enhanced instruction was one of the major improvements between 386 -and
486 machines. Using the Tl processor, Make-it 486 also-clock doubles the
previous processing speed of the 386 machine.

By combining the affordable and high performing Texas Instruments 486 SXL
processors with engineering expertise, Improve Technologies was able to
introduce a processor upgrade that provides unsurpassed performance for
less than $100. Some high performance upgrades are available which may
offer a 50% performance increase over the Make-it chip, however, these
upgrades are two, three, even four times the cost of the Make-it 486.

Installation of the Make-it 486 processor upgrades is fast and easy.
Typically, installation involves nothing more than opening the computer,
locating the 386 processor, installing the Make-it 486 module and
installing the cache enabling software. Even timid customers can install
the upgrade in 15 minutes or less. Both the DX and SX upgrade kits include
an illustrated installation manuals and free technical support. Improve
Technologies also insures compatibility with a 30 day money back
guarantee. The Make-it 486 comes with a one year warranty from Improve
Technologies.

Improve Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the TransEra
Corporation, first entered the processor upgrade market in 1992. Nearly 20
years of engineering experience from TransEra led to the high
compatibility and superior performance of Make-it 486 processor upgrades.
Tens of thousands of customers have now enjoyed the benefits of Make-it
486 processor upgrades for their 286 and 386 machines. All Improve
products are available through major distributors. All inquiries about
