LEARNING TREE INTERNATIONAL AND THE INSTITUTE FOR CERTIFICATION OF
COMPUTING PROFESSIONAL (ICCP) CREATE CERTIFICATION ALLIANCE

May 23, 1995 -- Des Plaines, IL - Learning Tree International and the
Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals (ICCP) today
announced a strategic alliance that will combine the efforts of the two
international organizations to enhance industry recognition of qualified
computing professionals worldwide. Through this agreement, the ICCP will
accept specific Learning Tree exams as partial fulfillment of the
requirements for the Certified Computing Professional (CCP) and the
Associate Computing Professional (ACP) designations. In addition, ICCP
will accept all Learning Tree courses toward fulfillment of the CCP
continuing education requirements.

Learning Tree is the first organization from which the ICCP has accepted
programming language testing as partial fulfillment of the requirements
for the prestigious ICCP certifications. Acceptance of Learning Tree
certificates and exams came only after thorough consideration by the
Languages Test Management Council of the ICCP.

According to Perry Anthony, ICCP executive director, "the ICCP is pleased
to welcome Learning Tree as a partner for professional certification. I am
impressed with their commitment to professionalism and their allocation of
resources to upgrade the knowledge of computing professionals on a
worldwide basis. The comprehensiveness and thoroughness of their courses
and the fact that their training is vendor independent is important to the
ICCP. Additionally, Learning Tree's worldwide locations are compatible
with the certification activities of our organization."

ICCP's professional CCP and ACP designations help computing professionals
establish their credentials within the computing profession and, with
nearly 50,000 certified professionals, they are recognized worldwide as
the industry standard. (See end note for details of ICCP certification
requirements.)

As a result of the agreement between ICCP and Learning Tree, successful
completion of one of Learning Tree's C or C++ programming course
examinations can be substituted for one language exam when applying for
ICCP's ACP or CCP designation. Successful completion of Learning Tree's
Certified C and C++ Programming Professional program can be substituted
for a specialty exam when applying for ICCP's CCP designation.

"ICCP Certification is a measurement of professional competence for the
information and technology industry that is recognized worldwide," said
Alan Salisbury, president of Learning Tree. "We are pleased to be
affiliated with this world-renowned certification body and feel that this
alliance greatly enhances what we have to offer the individuals who enroll
in our courses."

ICCP is currently reviewing additional Learning Tree exams to determine
their applicability for the Certified Computing Professional (CCP)
certification examination series. "I believe this agreement will serve as
a foundation for an ongoing and expanding relationship," said Anthony.

The ICCP is an International Certification organization that is dedicated
to the establishment of professional standards in the Information
Processing industry. The ICCP is not-for-profit organization and furthers
its purpose and goals with assistance from 24 worldwide ICCP affiliated
societies who recognize and support ICCP certification programs. ICCP
certification examinations include a core examination, eleven industry
areas and six programming languages. The American Council on Education
(ACE) recommends college credit for successful completion of ICCP
examinations. ICCP examinations are available on computer based testing in
North America and paper internationally.
