GAMMALINK DEBUTS NEXT GENERATION COMPUTER-BASED FACSIMILE BOARD

CPi/100 Fax Board and Compatible GammaFax 5.3 Software Offer Corporations
and Small Companies an Affordable Platform for Computer-Based Fax
Solutions

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (6/19/95)-GammaLink, the originator of PC-to-fax
technology, has announced the GammaFax CPi/100, the first of GammaLink's
next generation of single-line computer-based fax (CBF) boards. The
CPi/100 is an economical and feature-rich half-size fax board designed to
provide affordable fax solutions for small businesses and corporate
America. GammaLink is also simultaneously introducing GammaFax 5.3, the
most advanced version of its board-level GammaFax software. GammaFax 5.3
features T.30 protocol sub-addressing to offer users an additional
solution to in-bound network fax routing and addressing problems. The
CPi/100 board is being show by GammaLink at PC Expo, June 20-22 at the
Jacob K. Javits Center in New York, N.Y. at booth #563.

"The GammaFax CPi/100 and GammaFax 5.3 have been designed for customers who
want space-reducing reliable hardware for their small to medium volume and
custom fax applications," said Rich Willis, GammaLink's director of
marketing. "No other company offers a single line fax board with as rich a
feature set as the CPi/100. The CPi/100 offers users such key features as
advanced fax data compression to shorten the transit time of faxes over
phone lines in order to reduce their telephone charges. Users who have
tried cheaper fax boards and simple modems, and found that these devices
are slower than standalone fax machines, will find the CPi/100 board very
appealing."

Improvements in technology and product design have enabled GammaLink to
lower its production costs on the CPi/100, and GammaLink is passing these
savings directly to end users. The CPi/100, with a worldwide list price of
$695.00 (US), is available now through Merisel and other U.S. and Canadian
distributors, as well as directly from GammaLink. Volume and dealer
discounts are available.

Additional information on the CPi/100 is available from GammaLink's
fax-on-demand system at (408) 734-9906, by requesting document #201.

CBF systems, most commonly used by businesses in the form of network or
workgroup fax servers to eliminate the labor- and paper-intensive use of
standalone fax machines, are based on the use of fax co-processor boards
complete with modems and accompanying software. The variety and feature
sets of fax software available today is impressive, but the success of CBF
systems rests on the reliability and performance of the hardware
platform.

At the heart of successful CBF systems is a GammaFax board developed by the
company that has set the de facto standard of fax board hardware.
GammaLink boards are used by companies that want to develop desktop PC
faxing capabilities, workgroup, LAN and WAN fax systems, document scanning
and imaging applications, as well as e-mail-to-fax (e-mails are converted
to fax format and sent designated numbers), fax broadcasting (the sending
of large numbers of faxes anytime, anyplace) and fax-on-demand (voice
prompts and menus walk users through stored information retrievable by fax
24 hours a day) systems. The CPi/100 provides a small, fast and affordable
platform that is ideal for use in such fax applications.

CPi/100 Features

Expanding upon the popular GammaFax CPi fax board platform, the GammaFax
CPi/100 offers a 20 Mhz on-board microprocessor to speed up fax processing
and improve the overall speed of a CBF system, a 14.4 Kbps modem for the
fastest transmission/reception speeds available today, and six external
switches for setting I/O addresses. The half-sized CPi/100 is designed to
be small enough to use in fax systems where PC chassis space is at a
premium, such as in customized fax applications where the requirement is
for smaller, lighter or portable systems. The CPi/100, with support for up
to 16 separate fax channels, can also be used inside a network fax server
and allows system scalability to easily accommodate fax traffic growth.
The CPi/100 supports the hundreds of third-party software packages
developed around the GammaFax line.

"The CPi/100 offers a good price/performance fit for the departmental fax
server market," said Joseph Avellino, president of Optus Software, Inc.,
developers of the award-winning FACSys fax server software line and beta
user of the CPi/100. "It's fast, and it will give users a lot of
flexibility to scale up their fax capacity incrementally, and will allow
seamless connection with all types of fax devices."

The CPi/100 offers such popular GammaFax features as Modified READ (MR) and
Modified Modified READ (MMR) data compression, ITU Error Correction Mode
(ECM), and ITU T.434 Binary File Transfer (BFT). The board is supported by
the extensive network of GammaLink authorized Fax Software Program (FSP)
developers and VARs.

GammaFax 5.3

The new GammaFax 5.3 architecture, which has embedded support for the
CPi/100 as well as GammaLink's recently introduced CP-6/SC and CP-12/SC
multi-channel fax boards, provides scalability for fax traffic growth, new
hardware support and, most importantly, offers T.30 communications
protocol for increased transmission reliability and sub-addressing. T.30
sub-addressing is an alternative solution to costlier or less-reliable
in-bound fax routing technologies such as Direct-Inward-Dialing (DID) and
optical character recognition (OCR).

GammaLink, headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, was established in 1983
and is the originator of PC-to-fax technology. The company, now a
subsidiary of Dialogic Corporation (NASDAQ:DLGC), of Parsippany, NJ.,
provides the fax platforms for a range of existing and emerging CBF
applications including LAN fax, imaging, e-mail gateways, fax-on-demand
and telecommunication-specific applications. GammaLink technology is used
by major industry players, worldwide telecommunication carriers and
high-volume switch manufacturers. GammaLink's products are certified by
the Postal Telephone and Telegraph (PTT) authorities of more than 25
countries.
