EX MACHINA OFFERS DEVELOPERS ABILITY TO EASILY EMBED WIRELESS MESSAGING AND
PAGING CAPABILITIES INTO SOFTWARE

Delrina Corporation is First Customer For New Software Developer Kit

NEW YORK, May 15, 1995 -- Ex Machina, Inc. today announced the availability
of its paging Software Developer Kits (SDKs), allowing corporate and
commercial Windows developers to integrate paging functions into their
applications. The SDKs allow developers for the first time to easily embed
paging and wireless messaging into applications such as sales automation
systems, dispatching, alarm and network management systems, news and
information delivery systems, contact and personal information managers,
and e-mail systems, enabling these applications to communicate with the
nation's paging and wireless messaging networks.

Ex Machina also announced that Delrina Corporation is the first customer
for the new SDKs. Toronto-based Delrina, the world's leading supplier
of-PC communications and electronic forms software, will use Ex Machina's
SDKs to build paging capabilities into its upcoming fax and other
communications products.

"These software developer kits will help existing applications 'reach out
and touch' the end-user, such as group scheduling programs that send a
page to the user every time an appointment is marked 'important,' or
network monitoring software that pages a technician when there is a
problem," said David S. Rose, Chairman and CEO of Ex Machina, Inc.
"Ultimately, these types of applications will enhance productivity and
change the way people work and do business by tying mobile workers to
computers, people and information back in their offices."

"Delrina's communications and electronic forms software integrated with Ex
Machina's wireless messaging technology can provide a truly wide range of
capabilities to deliver the promise of anytime, anywhere communications,"
said Mark Skapinker, Delrina President.

Ex Machina introduced three distinct SDKs, allowing developers to integrate
functions ranging from paging to-full wireless messaging into their
software. All of the SDKs allow the inclusion of advanced features in
applications such as auto install, configuration and modem setup. The
basic level product, SDK Notification, gives developers the software code
for applications that transmit short messages to the 25 million-plus
pagers now in service. The more advanced product, SDK Messaging, provides
the code necessary to send messages to pagers and PC card pagers, as well
as receive messages on computers equipped with PC card pagers or
receivers. In addition, SDK Messaging provides the code to send longer
messages to pagers and offers more robust scheduling functions. The
high-level product, SDK Data, allows developers to take full advantage of
all the functions of wireless networks, including the ability to send
files fully encrypted, compressed and error-corrected over existing paging
networks, as well as over forthcoming PCS networks utilizing the new
Telocator Data Protocol (TDP). The SDKs support all shipping PC data
receivers, including Motorola's News Card, Wireless Access' Access Card
and Socket's Page Card. Following are further details on each Ex Machina
SDK:

* SDK Notification: Provides short message notification and paging
functions. Priced at $195 per seat for corporate developers; commercial
developers pay $195/seat plus a commercial distribution fee. SDK
Notification allows developers to build applications that:

* Send messages to any numeric or alphanumeric pager or PC card
  data receiver
* Send message strings of up to 80 characters
* Work with any paging service
* Communicate with an unlimited number of paging subscribers/services
* Send group pages
* Report complete message status and maintain message logs
* Provide editable address books for paging subscribers and services
* Contain full communications settings controls
* Support Telocator Alphanumeric Protocol (TAP)

* SDK Messaging: Provides a more powerful set of wireless messaging
functions. Priced at $1,495 per seat for corporate developers; it is
available on a royalty basis to commercial developers. SDK Messaging can
be used to build applications that include all functions of SDK
Notification, as well as:

* Read, log and manage messages from PC card data receivers
* Send unlimited length messages
* Split or truncate messages
* Schedule messages
* Allow users to change dialing and preference settings
* Incorporate automatic modem configuration
* Support GSM Short Messaging and Wireless Protocol Scripting

* SDK Data: Provides access to all the features of wireless messaging
networks. Priced at $3,995 per seat for corporate developers; it is
available on a royalty basis to commercial developers. SDK Data can be
used to build applications that include all the functions of SDK
Messaging, plus the following:

* Send files such as spreadsheets and word processing documents
  over existing paging networks
* Send data to various wireless devices
* Encrypt/decrypt messages
* Compress/decompress messages
* Support Telocator Data Protocol (TDP)
* SupportTCP/IP

The SDKs will be available in late June. All three SDKs are Windows C++
dynamic link libraries (DLLs) with C wrappers--allowing, them to be used
in C programs and visual development tools such as Visual Basic and Visual
Fox Pro.
